Angry OK getting frustrated

No matter how hard I am trying to be on track it is so not working. I either eat too much or nothing at all and these carbs are killing me. I need to break away from them. I need help! I have worked so hard I don't want to go back. I went to the nutritionist in my surgeon's office about a month ago. She said I was doing well with protein and water, needed to increase fruits and veggies and decrease carbs. I should not have anything between meals and have a cup of food at each meal B,L ,D. I have pretty much followed that EXCEPT THESE DARN SIMPLE CARBS... I continuously gain weight at a rate of 2lbs a week... all blood work is crystal clear and I am diligent about vitamins. Any suggestions???

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good to see you!!!
Have you tried drinking water first when you get the carb urge? If not, try that.
Also, take note of when you get the carb urge, and why--boredom, anger, nerves, happy and want to reward yourself, fear, etc etc. You may be unconciously looking for a *soother* when you get the carb urge.

Carbs are honestly a problem for a lot of us I think. Doc is right - when I'm looking for carbs - I'm usually bored or mad! I've opted for mints in those situations....seems to be working so far!

Thanks doc and fishanhook! I was just discussing this last night with my hubby and I came to the conclusion that I am in fact using it as a soother. I am going to be more aware of these situations and avoid them.
