Unhappy Smokers warning my experiance

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my story of last week in found hopes of helping at least one person.
Last Monday morning at 3:30 am I woke to a searing pain in my stomach that can only be compared to labor. My stomach was hard as a rock I rolled over and felt something pop at this point I went downstairs and it got worse suddenly I felt what like what I can describe as acid running through my stomach. I started screaming so loud in pain my family ran downstairs I couldn’t talk walk or even move at this point but was profusely sweating at this point. Ambulance was called and I was rushed to the hospital my condition only getting worse. They promptly took me to CT scan an hour later the ER doctor came to our side and said my stomach had perforated and said that I would need to transfer to the hospital that my GBS worked out of. My husband at this point asked how bad this was and he told us 9 times out of 10 it means death!
We all lost it this point talk of Will life insurance and custody had to be discussed. Fast forward I get to the other hospital and the surgery is performed taking 2 liters of infection out of my body and fixing the hole in my stomach in a 4 hour surgery; But I am alive I spent 5 days in the hospital and am now home in extreme pain. When my GBS Doctor was asked what would cause such a thing being that I have had in problems in 14 months his simple response was smoking. I am ashamed that I continued smoking even after being told time and time again I need to stop but never did I guess I thought I was invincible.
I am now going through nicotine withdraw at the same time as this horrible healing but felt the need to share if only I could help one person.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Was it like an ucler you got from the smoking? And it was your little pouch that got ulcerated? Wow, I am so sorry that you were hurt and had to run the the ER but I am happy that you are okay. That was a lot of stuff happening at once. You hang in there. Hugs,.

Clea, all I can say is God is good. I thank Him that you are here to warn others. I am so sorry. I to hope you have a speedy recovery and the pain gets better also the withdrawals, I was a smoker for around 40 years but the only thing that finally helped was chantix, I say that to add to your comment in the event others are touched by your experience and want to stop. God bless you, I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else. Keeping you in my prayers.

What a horrible story and how wonderful of you to share it with everyone.
So scary and 9/10 die? I can't imagine your fear. So terrifying.
I have never smoked, never like the smell... but to think smoking can do that much
damage!!! So now you are trying to kick nicotine and get recuped from the surgery.
So much for one person to endure. Good luck!!! You are most fortunate to be with us.
THank you SO much for sharing.

I'd say you're really lucky. Thank you for relating your story. I personally know 2 people in one my support groups who had major surgery issues due to smoking. One was a 45 year old man, the 2nd was a 23 year old woman. They both began smoking again a few months post op. Good luck on your recovery, and I do hope you have an easier time than the 2 people I know. The woman had 3 surgeries to repair her ulcers. Last one was to cauterized 6 bleeding ulcers. Her dad had RNY too, and he said she had blood running out her month when she was rushed to the hospital for her last surgery. DAVE
