Angry Stalled or Stopped?

Ok, we've heard it before....but I'm really wondering if I'm stalled or stopped at my current weight. I'm so disappointed in myself; as little as 2 weeks ago I was running on the treadmill, running with the dogs- now I can't motivate myself to get ANY excercise. Not to mention I'm eating and grazing like I never had surgery. Why can't I get out of my own way?? I have this great tool and I'm trying and trying to sabotage myself, slipping into old habits and ways. I'm afraid of what this means for my overall goals- am I destined to weigh 275? I feel like I've always felt in this battle-helpless, hopeless and FAT. So frustrating, dang it. My goal for this week is to get out from this funk. I will get below 200 pounds. I will move, and follow the rules. You all are such an inspiration- thanks for putting up with this rant.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You're just stalling. A lot of people find that they stall for a while just before breaking the 200 mark. It may take longer than you like, but you will get to Onderland. Just stick to your program, and trust yourself.

I was so glad to read your post today. I too, seem to be stuck at 216..Onderland is so close and so far away.
People keep saying "You are thin enough..." (at 216lbs??) so I hope that doesn't stick in my head at some subconscious level... I am about your height, and was hoping for 189... as a goal. 175 would be a dream...
We can suffer together.

Nursesrock, you are in a stall ~ don't give up...you will get past it. Today take the dogs out for a run, then tomorrow do the treadmill and the next day and the next day...just don't get to far away from that exercise routine, it's so hard to get started back up once you stop for too long. You know from my food log yesterday that I ate junk this weekend, today I'm determined to get back to clean eating, you can do this too. Hang in there and you will break that stall, no giving up!!!

(((hugs)))

Just a stall - it's so frustrating when it's so close, and yet so far away that 199 number!

Hang in there - don't beat yourself up over what you have done - you've recognized that you've been a little lax and that is half the battle. Get up this morning and get back on track! Good luck - you can do it!

Its just a mean ole ugly stall. They have a place in the plan even if we don't like them. The body needs time to adjust and decide whats next. lol Hang in there this too shall pass.

You have lost a lot of weight since your surgery!!! Please be proud of what you have accomplished. I have to remind myself every day. Stalls suck, but they happen. I just gou out of a month long stall. I thought I was never going to start to lose again. Just remember that when you are in a stall....you are still losing inches! I can't tell you how many people have commented on how I look over the past month. I am glad that you come here to let out your frustration. It is a great place, because everyone here understands. I am so glad to have found this board....it has helped me through some tough times.
Try to look at the positive, and don't be so hard on yourself. The surgery is only a tool.....the hard part is battling our old habits. It is not the end of the world if you slip at times. The IMPORTANT thing is that you recognized it, came here and wrote about it, then made a plan to change the behavior. GOOD FOR YOU!!! I am glad you are with us. Keep posting whenever you are having a rough day. I know you will get some positive feedback from some of the realy nice people here.
Hang in there!!! You are doing great

So you're at the 3 month mark and reality is starting to sink in. When they said this is a lifestyle change they really meant a LIFE style change. Like for the rest of my LIFE! OMG! Where's the cookies? Many of us back slide at this point. Reality sinks in and we run for our old friend food. But then we find out we can't eat as much as we used to, it doesn't taste as good as it used to, you might even dump from it.

This is one of the big hurdles along the journey. Congrats, you've reached one of the markers. Now what are you going to do about it? Are you going to turn around and go back to where you were, or are you going to figure out how to get over this hurdle and move on?

You've now had the chance to really see what's ahead .... hard work! Exercise, eating small healthy portions, vitamins and supplements, drinking tons of water, emotional situations. Who wants to do all that?

I bet you do!
