Default Upper GI Tomorrow Endoscopy.

Well tomorrow I go in for the Upper GI aka Endoscopy AKA running a light down into my stomach to see what they can see. This will be the first time I have been put to sleep and im not scared. Cause they wont cut on me and it wont hurt after I wake up ! LOL. Considering all the surgerys I have had before this is nothing.

Some insurance comapnys require this to be done. Mine dont BUT my surgeon does. He said Vickie I dont like to go into anything without seeing it first. So that is what he is doing. I do wish i could clone this man and his staff. You talk about being upfront now he is. No beating around the bush about nothing. And he finishes talking he ask you do you a any questions. He did ask me this three times before I left his office when I had my inital consult.

Im gonna be smiling tomorrow while im out. I just know I am. I hope you all have a good day and smile once in a while...........I promise it wont hurt...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

MY surgeon also required being scoped
pre op and I believe strongly being thorough
preop is IMPORTANT!!!
We knew for sure that the bleeding ulcer
i developed 1 year post op was not there
for sure pre op because i was scoped.

GOOD LUCK its a very simple procedure!!!
AND i enjoyed haveing a pre op exeperience
in the OR with my surgeon before the big surgery!
IT was almost like a dry run of what was to
come on my big surgery day!
good luck

Good luck with your testing.

All surgeons have their own protocol for pre op testing. I didnt require and upper endoscopy prior to mine . Its very individual to each person. Hey the more testing done the better, if he feels you require it.
Keep us informed.

Ok i had it done and just like I thought. Nothing hurt or nothing lol. The only thing that even remotely hurts a tad is the IV. He come in before and said..... SEE this is my CALL name Miss Vickie how is the smoking going? I told him I was doing 3-4 cigarettes a day. Oh he was a happy man. LOL. He said ok now.....im going to look and see if I can do this surgery or not. He did it and said Your Normal Miss Vickie. Surgery is a go. Yeah ! LOL. I am so glad he did that. You know I never thought about it until now they could have found polyps ect down there. Who knows. And he did have to see what he was gonna get into for sure.

Each time I see this man the more I thank GOD I found him. So im a go for sure now. Ahhhh this feels good. Ps the medications they put you out with are good ! LOL

Ok its a few hours later after I wrote that post im more awake and know what im typing LOL. The meds are good. There like a amnesia drug when you go get a colonoscopy. You dont remember a thing. The first thing I asked the nurse was did I snore? LOL She said just a tad. But then when I was getting ready to leave she asked if my hubby woke me up much because I snore so I think she was being nice when she said a tad. LOL.

I was so suprised when I walked in the dept though. It seems we have treated alot of the nurses that work at that particular hostpial in that particular dept. They all seen me come in and I was overwhemed by them all. When they wheeled me in the OR place I even suggested one of the fellas to come see us because his allergies were acting up badly. This was after he told me all about them. LOL He took the number to the office. LOL then said yea your the one they told me about almost all of them know you and your Dr you work for and just love yalls office. So needless to say I had a very relaxing experience.
