Hello Everyone! Today is my first day on this site and I am not really sure how it works. So I guess I will just have to learn as I go....
I am the Mom of three wonderful children and I am scheduled to have a Gastric Bypass done on 2/22/12. I am so excited, but at the same time, scared to death of what my life will be like after. Will I be able to eat? Will I lose all the weight I want??? The surgery doesnt make me nervous, just the lifestyle that will follow it.
I am hoping to find a few fellow pre & post surgical friends to chat with and be able to express some of these bottled up emotions with. Hopefully someone who has "been there, done that" and could give me some tips, advice and probably a reality check once in a while too!
I am 41 years old and my goal after GBP is to lose 110 lbs. I just got my date for surgery the other day and I am trying to get myself prepared both mentally, physically and emotionally.

HI from the boston area as well. I am thrilled with doing the surgery and I was so scared I cried in the pre op area, you hear bad things ..and I guess some can happen but for the most part from what I see its majority of positive result. I am not a patient person and personally stessed out by stalles. This forum has keep me sane by telling me the loss will move and I need to keep patient. They are a great support group even with my whining.
