Hi guys. Its spring here in NYC and all i can think about each morning is how i felt last year compared to this year. Last year i would be in my closet looking for an XL sometime XXL fleece or sweatshirt to wear over my clothes as if i was able to hide all the fat underneath. I actually thought that if i bought larger clothes that nobody would know i was big underneath. But since having the surgery and loosing 70 pounds so far i am able to wear jeans, actual jeans with zipper and buttons with medium tee shirts and get this A BELT. yes i need the belt because most of the jeans i bought just about a month ago are to big already. This surgery has changed my life so much. I am no longer looking for cab money or train money to get to the parks in the city...Im walking walking walking...Just had to share this. This surgery was the best thing i ever did for myself and my family.

Keep it up your doing well. (thanks for sharing this by the way, gives inspiration to those of us that are pr op and waiting.)

That is great Lisa, but what did you think about today??? We had all sorts of weather, it was very weird.
I can't wait for those moments. I have a jacket that I am sure I won't be able to wear next winter b/c it will be to big, but right now it doesn't fit over my hips. I will probably wear it just because it will be big.

I look at things this way. We all have so much to look forward to no matter what stage of the journey we are in. We are here, we are making steps to improve our lives. Everybody who is taking this journey will have that moment over and over again. Some will reach it sooner then others but we will all reach it. That moment when we look at ourselves in the mirror and are happy with what we see. When we get up from bed in the morning and feel good about how we feel. Baby steps will get us all there. And having each other to lean on, people who can relate is going to keep us on the right path.

| Glad to hear you feel so wonderful! Walking again for me is so great. Before surgery I would have never thought of walking to the park, muchless going to the park! I would have never taken the train to work knowing I couldn't fit in the seat with someone else. Now I love it. The wonderful WOW moments that surgery has given us. Keep up the hard work!

I have to agree..........what a difference! I too was wearing big things to hide the big me. Now, I am happy to wear different styles, and clothes that are not just BLACK. (OK, black is still my fav. color of clothes, but I have added color to my wardrobe, too!)
And, just FEELING so much better is amazing. NOt huffing and puffing as I walk up the hill by my house, and not sweating like crazy even when it is in the high 60s.
I am LOVING the changes. S

Whoa, didnt expect the tears at reading this Lisa Marie but I agree so wholeheartedly it touched me. Life seems so full of joy and promise when you're not fighting and hating yourself day in and day out - it's like a huge cold damp grey cloud has been lifted out of my soul and my physical body and not only is my body now lighter and getting around in life with ease so is my soul!
