Smile Minor set back but haning in there

Well I found out yesterday I can't switch from Keystone to Cap B/C on June 1 as planned. I'm not allowed to change until March when the co I work for has open enrollment. So I guess I just have to wait 10 more months. I am determined to have this surgery. My husband and I decided we will start riding our bikes again starting tonight and I am eating a lot healthier and I will loose what I can during that 10 mo wait. I refuse to get discouraged. The hardest part for me is I really wanted to have this over and done with as soon as possible. The reason..... My mom has leukemia and doesn't have a lot of time left with me and her one wish for me my entire adult life was to be healthy and loose weight. She was always my biggest supporter. I hope I can fulfill her wish, but if it doesn't happen before she leaves me she will still know. The whole leukemia thing has been extremely hard for me and the stress that goes along with it has caused me to gain since she was diagnosed. Well thanks for listening I'll keep you posted.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Awwww, (((((((HUGS)))))))))
Hang in there, and I'll praying for your mother, too.
Say, Exhorter has a thread up in "G" File for prayer requests, if you believe in prayers, then maybe you could look into it and put up a prayer request for your mother.

While you are exercising with your hubby, why don't you colloborate with your PCP and go on a dr supervised diet so that you will already have the 6mo supervised diet requirement cleared when you switch your insurance. That way, you will already have one hurdle cleared.

May your journey go well.

Lets hear it for Doc, she right again about the 6 month medically supervised diet. That will cut the months off when you do get to going for this.

Honey, When my father passed away me and all three of my brothers gained 40 lbs in 6 months. It was sudden thing and this is how we all dealed with it by eating. Its a tough thing to lose somone that has been with you since birth and you look up to and respect so much. Put her on the prayer chain that Extorter started. Its a maraclous thing prayer.
You hang in there. I have been waiting my self on this surgery. Mine wont be done until September. Its giving me a chance however to do things that need to be done. To view life differntly before hand. That may not make sense until you stop and look around yourself. Were gonna be with you though your wait and you approval and afterwards so make sure you keep comming in. Take care

Many thanks to both MS Vickie and Docshanae I will check out the prayer site you mentioned. Msvickie you are correct I admire my Mom more than I can express in words. She is my hero, she was diagnosed at the age of 80 and we didn't think she would live to see 81 but she did and will be 82 Jan 2 08. And i completely believe in the power of prayer. I've been on a Dr supervised diet since Feb so I will have that behind me in no time. Thanks again
