| Hmmm...
Today was a strange day for me. I got everything in that I was supposed to. 1 hour on the elliptical. My max protein which for me is 71g. My water 40 ozs as of right now but the night is still young. All vitamins and supplements. Everything was going well. I ran to the store to get a gallon of milk, come back and some woman cursed me out because i asked her to back up so I could get the groceries out of the trunk. (she pulled up very close to the back of my car) Anyway, tempers flaired and she moved however she had to seal it with a "...you fat b*tch"
The thing that I find funny is that I guess it's human nature to shoot straight for a person's obvious weakness. In my case it's my weight. It's obvious that I am overweight. It's not something I can hide. HOWEVER, on any other day before today I might have taken it to heart, cried or shouted something ten times worse back. But today, I collected my things from the trunk, grabbed my daughters hand (yes my 4 year old was with me at the time) and crossed the street head held high.
I immediately came upstairs, snapped some pics and looked and that was all i needed. I have a chin, a neck, collar bones and cheek bones emerging, and I am VERY confident and secure in myself and my choice. No one is going to steel my joy.
I know this surgery is the not the cure for everything that is "wrong" with my life, but it has forced me to adjust mentally, physically and make changes in other areas of my life that I KNOW i wouldnt have otherwise; It's bettered me in all ways possible. I said to myself while this woman was screaming at me; she has no idea i just had WLS and if she lives here and happends to see me in another 6 mos, i'll make her eat her words!!!!
I feel so much stronger. Just thought I'd share.

| You said it, Kenyar!
You, for sure, have got the right attitude on life these days. I am very proud of you. Look at what you have got. Yup, you already did. Good for you. With that attitude, you will go far. I don't know why that is either. People always go for that tender spot with people like us. I am not really sure why, but they do. Enjoy what you got Kenyar, and the H*** with everyone else is what I say. SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO proud of ya. mike

Awww, ((((((HUGS))))))
There will always be people like that. It may even be, that she throws that at any and everyone that crosses her path. I wouldn't be surprised if she screamed the same think at a skinny 0 size kid if that kid ever crossed her path.
Good for you that you actually feel all the more better about who you are after the episode.
Way to go, Kenyar, you will go a long ways with your spirit!

Well first off keep that chin up and dont let anyone ever get you down.
People who make those kinds of comments are people who have very low self esteem of their own. THey use the negativity as a wall or barrier to protect themselves. Its sad actually when people act that way. I feel bad for them. That person may have some issues she is dealing with and is just mad at the world. Does it make it right absolutly not however just smile and go about what you are doing, thats what i TRY to do most of the time. It took me a long time and alot of growing to get to that point. A few years back i may have just kicked her ass..lol....You should feel so proud of what you are doing and changing your life. Dont even look back at that ....move forward. SMILE and feel proud.
