Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ok so I am truly not one for calling attention to myself at all. It took me a month or two to actually start posting here and everyone has been SOOOO wonderful in terms of support, advice and explaining things. SO I need to lean on you guys HARD today. I'm having a BAD day. (It's not TOM by the way) It's just a bump in the road kinda day. I woke up this morning TIRED. I got up anyway, did my usual routine, sat on the sofa and fell asleep. Not like me at all. I NEVER go back to sleep LOL! I had a shake because something told me not to start off with actual food this morning.... I drank 4 ozs of shake and began eating my 1/2 banana and ...... .Now, I KNOW theres nothing wrong with my pouchy. Everything has been fine fine fine. But for some reason I didnt really chew the banana and up it came. I have been a bit distracted lately. I am finding I am not paying attention while eating/drinking and finding myself in a bit of a pickle moments later...NOT GOOD. I know it isnt directly related to surgery. I have relationship issues going on. On top of that I am realizing just how unhappy I am at work. 3 major areas of my life are falling apart right in front me. And feel as if i have NO CONTROL over anything. *Incidentally, Ive eaten since and everything stayed down so I'm really not concerned about that. But i think I need therapy....and a hug. PS. what are the "symptoms" of depression? |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | ((((HUG)))))))) KENYA!!! sorry your having a icky sort of day!!! THEY happen. I will promise you that when your much further out you wont have to chew chew chew as much... i find since a year and half its not as bad as those early out months.....We all have been there eating something to quickly and not paying attention to the chew chew chew rules and bringing it up . FOR awhile i actually thought i was bulemic for how often i would toss. BUT now i rarely doo....so it gets easier later down the road. AS for TOM....it takes it toll on all of us...you know what i hated since surgery my cycles are to regular and more like 21 days not 28 and i feel like im constantly in that pms funk!!!! SO its been hard. (((HUG))) enjoy and if you truly fine the tired are a regular thing i would strongly suggest a b12 shot or the nasal spray nascobal to help! good luck! and dehydration too will make u tired being you tossed up this am you might be on the needy side for fluids... feel good and its alright to come here and vent these kind of days. CAUSE we ALL HAVE THEM!!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Depressed mood Feeling hopeless, sad, discouraged, or empty. Loss of interest or pleasure Inability to experience pleasure. Nothing seems to interest you anymore, including former hobbies, social activities, and sex. Appetite or weight changes Significant weight loss or weight gain—a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month. Sleep changes Insomnia or oversleeping (also known as hypersomnia). Psychomotor agitation or retardation “Keyed up,” unable to sit still, anxious, restless or sluggish, slow speech and body movements, lack of responsiveness. Fatigue or loss of energy Physically drained. Even small tasks are exhausting. Can't do things as quickly as you used to. Self-loathing Strong feelings of worthlessness or guilt. Harsh criticism of perceived faults and mistakes. Concentration problems Inability to focus. Difficulty making decisions. Can’t “think straight.” Memory problems. Irritability Grouchy, easily annoyed, and frustrated by little things. Angry outbursts. Aches and pains Depression can cause or exacerbate many physical symptoms, including headaches, backaches, diarrhea or constipation, abdominal pain, and aching joints. People suffering from depression often show distorted thinking. Everything looks bleak to them, and they hold extremely negative views about themselves, their situation, and the future. Trapped in their pessimism, they obsess over their problems and blow them out of proportion. These are signs and symptoms honey. I think you will find it a common thing with weight loss surgey or I have noticed that in here. First of all Hugs for you. Its tough being a single mom and doing this all on your own. I have been there. If you think you need to see your thearpist again there is nothing wrong with making the call and going and talking. Mine told me to call him up if I felt like I needed to talk after i had mine done. There is NO shame in it. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I'm sorry you're having a rotten day. I hope you feel better tommorow. I noticed that I too sometimes have "depressed" feelings or feeling blue-but we have to remember that we had a major life changing surgery. Give yourself a break. I will keep you in my prayers.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | HUG HUG HUG.... It is very important on this journey to get support and help whenever needed. Seeing a pro as Doc said is a great idea. Depression comes in many degrees and forms and its best to discuss with someone who knows about it well. I really hope you feel better soon. Keep that chin up and smile. LittleLisaMarie ![]() |

5' 6" Height: | Hi Kenyar. For some reason this happens to me too every now and again. For myself, I chalk it up to no longer eating to cope with the hassles life sometimes brings. I know it gets scarey but hang tight cause the good stuff comes back around real soon steady and stronger then before. Meanwhile, back at the ranch the first first moths after WLS I visited a therapist which helped too. I wasn't used to walking through all the fellings that come up when I wasn't covering them up with the food. Still working on that just being, probbably for a long time. Hope that your feeling better and I'll be thinking about you. |
