Robbin, Sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine my Mom not being around. But I know that day will come too. She is scared for me to have this surgery but she is also worried about my health as it is now. She too will feel better about it after she sees what it will do for me as your Mother saw what it did for you. You were being unselfish putting her first and not thinking as much about yourself. NOW I am sure she would want you to get on with your life and make her proud. We are all here for you.

My mom was scaed for me too and called me everyday to make sure I was making the right desision. She was there at the hospital even though she was having all of her problems.
Your Mom will be so happy for you once she see's how well you will feel in just a few weeks.
Just 5 more days for you....are you excited?? nervous???

Thanks For the response Robbin. Yes I am nervous, excited, you know all those things that I am sure all of the rest of you went through. Tomorrow is my last day at work. Friday and Saturday I am going to play with my 19 month old grandson, Jayden, and Sunday I prepare for surgery, so I have my days planned and staying busy. That helps.
I kind of feel sorry for putting my Mom through this. I am the oldest of 6 kids and 2 of my brothers just had surgeries this year for cancer and they are doing well. SHe had hip replacement and one inlaw died of cancer since first of the year. I know she is wondering, as I am sure others are too, as to why I would elect to take a risk if I don't have to. They do not understand "I DO HAVE TO". No options left for me to have a healthy life. You all understand so YES, hopefully she will too afterwards when she sees how happy and healthy I will be. Thanks Robbin. Wish me luck and a little prayer too. Mattie
