Unhappy Depressed

It's getting close to 3 months and I'm on the same weight! since my WLS anniversary and I gathered all my physical efforts to workout almost everyday not for less than 2 hours and my weight is still the same

I'm on big stall and I dunno when I'll get out of it! I know I bing maybe for one day or 2 but I always get back on track the next day

I'm so depressed you have no idea

Hubby is starting to blame me that the kids rarely spend time with their mom! 8 hours at work then ~ 4 hours in the GYM and when I get back I quickly have a shower then go asleep in a matter of 5 min's!

so

I didn't have time for the family for the past few months and I know this is not fair... I'm doing it for them and God knows

I'm tired and feel so down, I don't know what I'm doing wrong here

H.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

(((((Hanadi))))) Stalls are so hard!! I just came off one and it drove me crazy even though I knew it would have to end eventually. You are doing all the right things, but sometimes our bodies just aren't ready to drop the next few lbs. I know it's hard but try to be patient with your body. Eventually you will begin losing again because your body will have no other choice. You are eating much less now and much healthier things. You are exercising. Hang in there, girl!! It will happen!

I don't want to say don't listen to your hubby because he does have a valid point. Your kids do need time with you. I also think that as women, we too often neglect ourselves in favor of caring for others. Your girls deserve to have a happy and healthy mom. The better care you take of yourself, the better care you can take of them. Maybe there's an exercise activity you and the girls could do together??

Hugs,
Chrissy

HEY HANADI!
your the number ONE gym addict on the board.
AND with the fearce workouts your doing your
toneing and converting fat into muscle which does
weigh more.
DONT forget my thread on stalls:

And i have seen this on plataus and it makes much sense too:

Consider how difficult it is for you to run up ten flights of stairs
all in
one shot. Can you do it? I'm betting NOT unless you are a
top-notch-conditioned Olympian, right? Now, of course, you could
EVENTUALLY
get up those ten flights of stairs if you rested on the landings
periodically to catch your breath and pause for a moment before your
heart
explodes. you'd get up those stairs - but only if you rested on the
landings
or PLATEAUS.

Well, running up ten flights of stairs in one shot is what we are
asking our
body to do after WLS in the way we want the body to lose a massive
amount of
weight. As our body loses weight so rapidly, it occasionally has to
"rest
on the landings" to catch its breath, get its bearings, take a
breather.
Then once it feels rested, it takes another shot at dropping the pounds
again. It's remarkable that the body can drop so much weight so quickly
anyway after surgery. but it can't do it all in one long shot like
running
up ten flights of stairs in one long shot. It has to rest on the
landings
or PLATEAUS.

Keep this analogy in mind when you hit those plateaus. PLURAL.
PLATEAUS. No
such thing as ONE. you'll have many along your journey. When those
plateaus
hit, you still must do what you need to do. DON'T stop the good
nutrition,
the vitamins, the exercise. keep those routines going. And once your
body
is done "resting" in between the flights of stairs, it will kick in
gear
again for the next flight or two. And the more pounds that are dropped,
the
slower the pounds will drop too. so you will not lose rapidly during
that
last stretch of 25-30 pounds. it's like an athlete who gives his all
during
the race, sees the finish line in sight, and does all he/she can to
finish.
the muscles ache, the heart is about to burst. but the athlete DOES
finish
the marathon. some athletes "walk" across the finish line. but the
point is
they FINISHED.

Understanding plateaus will help you relax a bit and keep you from
self-doubt, which is something you don't need right now along your
journey.

I am a believer too that when our bodies are at the weight it likes we wont loose more. MY weight loss was rapid and stopped just a drop
past the one year mark. I take it, and accept as my body likes this size
and the rest is probably the extra skin around. I will not do plastics
I cant take that much time off work for recovery and im chicken as
well so i have come to accept the weight i am at and im happy. MY main goal was total health and i do have that right now! HUGS and take some time from the gym for family!!! YOUR kids are only small once. HUGS and relax and see what happens when over time and im sure your takeing off inches as well right now!!! MAYBE a trip to the stores can confirm that
by getting into a new size outfit!
CHEER UP!
chin up
and keep that beuatiful smile!

Sorry you feel so down Chuppy. You have been working so hard. I agree with Friendly and the stairs analogy. I also agree with chrissb...maybe you can find a fun family exercise to do with the girls and even one to do with your hubby () heh heh.

Im sorry your in a rut right now....first thing you need to so is to turn that frown upside down and SMILE...ok that was corny but oh well. As was mentioned above with all the working out you are doing the muscle is being build up and thats why your scale is not moving. DOnt fret. I am looking at your pics and OMG you have made such a transformation..feel proud about that.

Now as for the gym and working out so much and not having time for the kids i have to agree with hubby on that one. You need to balance your time between work, kids and working out. You lost this weight to be healthy and i have to tell you , that no matter how healthy you make your body physically, if you are stressing to much or doing to much that is not healthy for your body. Stress is so bad for your health. Make some kind of schedule balancing everything. Maybe cut some time off of the gym and take the kids to the park or for a walk to make up for the lost time at the gym. Make it into a game. I have been briging out my daughters skooter and skates and playing with them in the park. THey dont know that i am working out they think its all play.

Quality time with just your kids is very important as they are going to grow fast and you will blink your eyes and they wont be spending as much time with you and you will wonder where the time went. Enjoy them as much as you can now. WOrk and money and material things are nice but not as important as the time you spend with your kids. I believe that spending a few hours with your child means so much more then buying those expensive clothes for video games for them.

Now smile ......we love you here.....

(((((((HUGS)))))))
Hmmm......it may be time to cut back some on the gym...keep it to under 2 hrs per day. Too much exercise can actually be stressful to your body, so it may be defending itself by holding on to the weight, even while building up the muscle. Take the 2 hrs you cut out from the gym with your daughters. Change of pace is important, and you'll need to keep in mind that if get your daily rhythm into a set pattern, your body is going to settle into that rhythm and not budge. So, change your pattern everyday, and surprise and jiggle your body. Play with your children, diversify your activities. Yes, diversity is the key.

Hanadi, you are in a tough situation. The stall will have to end eventually. I was going to suggest maybe you should cut some of the gym time and play with the kids that way you are still getting some excercise in and also spending time with the kids. That way you are killing two birds with one stone.

I hope things work out soon.

Hon you are doing so good really you are!!

What I have to say here about when I was working out hard core (with a ex marine firefighter that was only 26!woo!) was we only did 20 min workouts every 3rd day on weights and I ran 6 days a week 35-45/55 min a day. But something he'd said was that every 2 weeks I needed to take a good solid 2 days and do NO workout or running to give my body a break. He said this in regards to preventing injury. (i'd previously dislocated the front of my shoulder due to serious training about 3 mos before). Abs were different as I did them every day unless I got 'crampy' and then I'd switch to every other day for a week or 2 or just hold off for 2-3 days.

here's my arm during that time LOL!!!

What I found, interestingly enough was that during the time "off" I'd drop off weight..urgg..go figure!

Sorry your feeling sad. I know that it is so hard to get to a place where you work so hard and then nothing seems to happen it just stops. But hang in there you will get there.
