Unhappy My Fears

I am afraid that in 3 or 4 years I will end up overweight and popping diet pills again.

I am afraid that if i ever reach my goal, it will only last for a day. (this happend to me once on a liquid diet. i reached my goal and ate dinner that night and gained two lbs as of the following day. within a month or two i'd gained back all 40 or so lbs i'd lost)

I am afraid that men may actually be attracted to me when I'm thin. Sad to say I think I sabotaged my own weightloss for YEARS to protect myself. I've never really gotten that attention from the opposite sex. I've always been someone's buddy or the "friend with benefits". the only relationship i've ever been in lasted off and on for 10 years. if i got the attention now, i wouldnt know what to do with it....but i still want it.

I am afraid that I might actually be a success and this might work out for me, but scared that if it does, it wont be forever.

Finally, I am afraid that even if it does last forever, I will never see myself the way i look to others. I will always see me at 262lbs, awkward, and always be alone.

Though I am afraid I will say this: I AM NOT AFRAID TO SAY I'M AFRAID.....

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Kenya,

I havent had surgery yet but I have those same fears--maybe that is what keeps me questioning my decision to do this. I am married, but still worry about the attention I might get. My husband just happend to like "big girls", although he would love me big or little--he says if I do this or not he still loves me. He is having this surgery too, so I am a little worried about attention he might get!! LOL--and he loves attention. I too worry about going through all this and failing in the end. Just wanted to let you know i am here with you!

Beth

((((((HUGS))))))) Both of you will do fine, the proof is that you are able to voice your fears. Admitting them is the very first step toward healing, and heading for a solution. Keep journaling your fears and hopes, when they are written down, you will be able to see them objectively and so, be able to take action appropriately.

((((((((US))))))))

I'm begininning to think that this is a "common" fear. Maybe not to the extreme of the opposite sex, but as far as failing. If we keep the mentality that we have now, we WILL succeed. We have to program our minds that we WILL do what we have to do to be a success FOREVER!!! That's why I personally don't have a "goal" I could get so depressed if I never actually reach it. I put one on here, but honestly, I don't HAVE to weigh 150. But then again, maybe it will change once I get closer to it, I dunno. But Kenya, I believe that is a HUGE fear of most of us sometime or another. And you are BEAUTIFUL girl!!!! You DESERVE to be loved and respected. No more "friends with benefits" from here on out!!! You are a new you! I'm ahead of you there, because I started working on "that" part of me over 15 months ago. And I really do feel good about that change. So the "inner" is changing, and soon the "outter" will be changing drastically. Just be true to Y O U, figure out what you are really looking for, and GO FOR IT!!!! At this point, we have NOTHING to lose!!! Except the OLD "us".

Okay I will admit I am scared to death and happy all at the same time. I have been with my husband for 13 years but only married for the last 3 years. He loves me for me and it doesn't matter to him if I lose the weight or not but I need to do this for me. I too am afraid that once I loose the weight will it be like all my other diets and I gain it right back. I have gone through the pills and b12 shots only to have gained it all back and then some. I am just stepping out there on faith and believe in God that he will get me through this and you believe in the same thing. You are doing great. It will take some time to get use to the attention but enjoy it. Let yourself go and have fun with it. You are a beautiful person inside and out just remember that.

Hi Guys: I also have the same fears and more...but this is so much more differnt than a typical diet. I finally think after year and years of dieting I have reached the point of realizing this is a tool that is helping me change my lifestyle. I never was committed to anythink like this before. Making sure I get my protein and H20 in. Making sure i take my vitamins. I never in the past took care of myself like that. I hopefully think with the consistancy and repitition. I will always continue this. I think it will because i dont want to have any complication in the future. So if you look at things this way you will be successful. Have faith in yourself.

All very valid fears and I think we all have those fears! But like you stated at least you aren't afraid to admit being afraid.

You guys, I feel the same way. I don't know how to do any of this except to put my best foot forward. (That's why I bought the boots )!
