let this ease your mind: i had and sometimes still have the same fear you expressed there. about doing this to myself and it not working and you know what? the absolute truth is, if you follow your instructions to the T, you cant go wrong. when i stray off the path i hit stalls or it slows up, but when i stick to it, it literally falls off. you will see. you will be in complete control of your outcome. it IS only a tool, and what you do with it will show in your results. ...and yes, msvickie is a sweetheart, isnt she?

There are a lot of docs that are neg about the surgery for sure. They end up seeing the bad end of it all the complications. But one thing to remember is your post op and I mean..long term postop-hood! is up to --YOU-- Supplements are very important, not just the protein supplements I'm talking vitamins etc that you have to keep up with forever not just the year after to stay healthy and to make sure you STAY healthy long term! --a lot of the negs are about people who did not comply with the requirements for long term health after the surgery. --bree

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | My G-lady was totally supportive, but some of the OBs might be a little skittish esp since some women try to get preggers right after losing some weight..... Bad for them and baby. My doc said at least 2 years. If your OB has seen a lot of problems from that maybe that's why she's a little skeptical. Just a thought.
