Default Weight loss results

I am two weeks post op and I have lost 24 lbs so far. I have noticed that over the past 4 days I haven't lost any weight. Is this normal? I am normally not a patient person and I'm trying to do better at that. I am barely eating anthing and doing just what the doctors say. I did start back to work yesterday so I'm not really concentrating on exercising this week because I don't want to push myself too much. What if I don't lose anymore?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I am in the same spot you are. Today is two weeks since my surgery and I have not lost ANYTHING for four days. Actually, I had lost two pounds, but then it came back overnight and put me right back to where I was. So I think I may be coming near my TOM, because I had it a week before my surgery. We'll lose more -- I'm sure of it -- our bodies are just taking a little "breather" to catch up and then all of a sudden we'll see the loss on the scales. Hang in there. I'm just at the point now I was before I started gaining that "pre surgery" weight -- you know the endless "last meal" routine. I had put on 20 additional pounds in the two months leading up to the two weeks before my surgery -- so I feel like this is just getting started. We will LOSE WEIGHT! And we will be amazed at how great we look!

As has been repeated many many times.

You will lose your weight in hump and bumps. Never in one fell swoop. So, you will see it go down in a whoosh, land somewhere, and stay there for a while, and go sliding down again, land for a while...and on and on.
When your scale is not moving, that is when your inches are. Never at the same time. So, if you want to lose the inches as well as with the scale, then you need the scale to stop for a while.
Your body will take its own time in adjusting to your weight loss, and to your new balance. It needs to heal even while you are losing, because it takes 3-4 months for your body to heal and recover completely from the surgery.

Remember, it is a major surgery, and your whole inner plumbing was rearranged. Now, if you had a close family member or very good friend have surgery for say, lung cancer, would you expect that person to be up and running to where he/she was pre op, before they got ill, in a mere 2 weeks, or 2 months even, after surgery? I think not. If they tried to go full out at that time, and chafed at the fact that they hadn't recovered their health, I imagine, you will tell them, "Take it easy. You just had a major surgery to save your life, and get healthy again. You know it will take time, and you are looking well already, so relax, sit back, and listen to your body, and let it work itself out."

This is the exact same words I have for you.
Take it easy, you just had a life saving surgery that involves major changes in your body. Don't expect your body to move smoothly in the direction you want it to. It will move at the pace it needs to, to heal properly, and regain the functions it needs to, to move along your weight loss. Use your tool wisely. When the scale doesn't budge, check your inches, as that is when you lose your inches most, and you find your clothes getting loose.

Now, there is also one more advice I have for you.
As you say, I have notices that many of you admit that you are not patient, and you want your weight gone "yesterday". I can understand why so, but it so happens, that one of the factors that is essential in making your tool work, and in succeeding in your weight loss, is just that one thing you don't like. Yup. Patience. Consider this a journey, not just to lose weight and to learn healthy eating and healthy life style, but a journey to learn patience, so you can make that work in all areas of your life, and make your life richer for it.

(((((((HUGS)))))))

Same here guys, I was "stuck" for a littel over a week, but was noticing like Doc said. my clothes are getting looser. I have now begun to start taking a lb off here and there. I am beginning to get more active also. I am sure that has a lot to do with it. I am just beginning to get some energy back!

Doc those were words that I think speak stronger then one would expect! I am still preop and worry about maybe not losing or losing as quick as I thought or want. As I have always been told - Patience is a Virtue

All of you should be soo proud of where you are right now! Truely an inspiration to those who are still pre op
