Smile Just a couple of questions.

You know I think we all have names for things on here. Some are a bit odd to me however.

Like DH i think yall say it to mean Dear Husband? I use Hubby.

TOM LOL I will admit It took me about a month or so to figure that one out. I just Cycle.

NUT I now see it used as Nutritionist. I refereed to it as the Psychiatrist I had to see to get surgery approved. NUT Doctor.

I took a look back the other day at some of my old post from when I first joined. Wow things have really changed since March. At that particular time most of the talk was about Alot of us fighting to get approved for the surgery or just talking about seeing a surgeon. What we expected from our surgeons checking them out.....etc. Seeing what kind of insurance we really had to deal with and the disappointment in some when they found they had no coverage for this what so ever.

The screams we seen on the board from when they found out yes there insurance company covered it. Then the hard parts of having to deal with countless appointments with different Dr's to cut the red tape and then holding your breath wondering if it was indeed enough.

Then the letter the call...........the word APPROVED! One of the first things we did was............run to the computer to let all of our friends on here know we now had the chance to change our lives........to live.

Watching the same fears asked every few weeks or days. Watching the comfort given or advice to help make it better.

I know I have come a long way since March and learned Alot. If you ever wonder how far you have come just go back and look. Yes its worth it still.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Vickie,

Had to laugh at this post. I too was confused with some of the words too. For the longest time I didnt have a clue what TOM was. I think I finally pm'd Kenya and said, what the heck is TOM. then the DH too, didnt have a clue what they were talking about and the NUT. I just figured they meant that their doctor was crazy. Then i got it. so yes I agree. and your right we have all come a long ways. Isnt it amazing. Seems like only yeterday that I was a few weeks out and found this wonderful site and now Im going on almost 5 months out. I may not be on as much as I want to be lately but this is like my second family. So true with what you wrote Ms. Vickie.
