You're still less than 3 weeks out.
The VERY FIRST THING your body is going to do at this stage is HEAL. Yes, heal, it's going to take 3-4 months for your body to heal completely from the major surgery you had. After all, you had your plumbing rearranged, even if you can see only the scars on the incisions of your skin, and it's closed, your guts are still healing. The staple line that closes off the pouch from the rest of the stomach is still swollen, and so are the staple lines along the stoma, and, needless to say, the staple lines that attach the limb of your bypass.
So, don't expect to lose in one fell swoop. You are going to lose in bumps and humps. Your body will lose, will recover, then lose, and recover. Again and again. Think of how long it took you to get up to the weight that made you need the surgery. Your body is going to NEED a long time to shed all of that.
Don't worry about the calories, just stick to the basics, 60g protein and 64oz water, plus regular exercise.
There is NO WAY you will NOT LOSE at least, this early out, with your surgery. The first year, you WILL LOSE regardless. Make the most of it by using this time to set up good habits, instead of worrying whether it will work or not.
