Well, I think I am getting my first cold post op. I don't like how it feels, I really don't. I just have NO ENERGY. I am ready to go to bed. I agree with Kenya that things are really magnified after WLS. My daughter has managed to gain like 7 pounds since school started, and I feel like it is my fault. It has been so hot here and my classroom is not air conditioned, so when I get home, the last thing I want to do is go back out and walk. So basically, we have been staying in. This is the hottest September on record in my little hicktown in Virginia. I have decided we must do better. A little more sweat is not going to kill me; I don't sweat anymore any way. LOL! I have received more compliments this week than ever in my life. I wore shirts that fit and I think people finally could see the weight loss. It is so hard to accept a compliment, but I am getting better at it. My mom is doing better. She is trying to relax and let her medicine work. The doctor put her on blood thinners and a new medicine to regulate her heart beat. Continue to hold her up in prayer. Thank you for all of your prayers. Sorry for my ramblings. I am proud of everyone. I met a new person in the chat room. I told her she needed to post and let us meet her. She is 2 weeks out and I hope she will post soon.  |

glad to hear your mom is stable. colds post op SUCK. lol. and yes it is hard to accept a compliment, isnt it. you just have to believe that SOME of the people who cross your path are genuine. That will get you thru it. To this day I feel very awkward when people say nice things about the weight loss. i still feel like it isnt "mine" to say thanks and keep on. I get al frazzled and look away. i always say thank you but i still doubt its true. who knows if it will ever get easier....you are doing great. -72 LBS IS AMAZING!!!  you SHOULD be proud of yourself. congrats on all you have accomplished thus far
