Hi all, well all my shopping is done, my bag is packed and I am ready!
I am having the kids and there bf/gf over for dinner tonight. We are Italian and we have always had a tradition of Sunday night pasta, meatball and sasuage salad and garlic bread. At the begining of trying to lose weight for the surgeon to make my surgery easier my daughter and I went on a no white carb diet. I have lost 32lbs she has lost 22lbs. She had to lose the freshman 15/20 she is just about at her ideal weight. So needless to say we have not had a Sunday pasta night dinner since the middle of June. I thought this would be a nice get together for us all the night before my surgery. I am making regular pasta and whole wheat pasta. It's funny I have no appetite at all today. I am not nervous or scared just ready. My husband and the kids are thrilled to be having pasta night lol. I just wanted to say I am so blessed to have found all of you and this site before my surgery. I have learned sooooo much and the support and comfort is heart warming. I have to be at the hospital by 7:30 A.M. tomorrow, I found out I am my surgeons first bypass of the day. He has a small hernia repair before me. I am so glad I am in early so I can get out and get up. I don't want any blood clots and I want the gas out ASAP. Well dear friends wish me well and please all your prayers. I am a true beleiver in God and I know he will be with my surgeons and I on my rebirthday. See all of you when I get back. I will meet you on the bench. My butt will still be big in three days when I get home, so make some room. LOL.

Renee Wow You Just Brought Back Memories For Me When I Was Younger Our Family Used To Do Pasta On Sunday As Well. Boy I Used To Enjoy That. We All Used To Go To My Grandmothers House Where My Aunts Uncle And Cousins Would All Get Together For Sundays. Its Sad Ever Since My Grandparents Are Gone We Stopped Doing It And Then My Dad Started The Tradition Again With Just Us. But Now That Has Ended As Well Since They Moved To Florida. Yum I Used To Love Those Sundays!!!!
Good Luck Tomorrow. I Will Think Of You When My Daughter Wakes Up. She Usually Wakes Up About That Time. Prayers For An Uneventful Surgery!

You Know Renee You Can Still Have Pasta Sundays Post-op. Just Dont Eat The Pasta. Eat The Meatball And Sausage With The Sauce. I Did That The Other Night I Had Meatball With Sauce And No Pasta And I Was Happy.

Thank you all, I am so ready. Edie, Pasta night has been a tradition in my family since I was a little girl we went to my grandmoms house. After I got married my parents came to my house for Sunday dinner. And now the kids come. It's the one time in the busy week we all sit down and really talk to each other and laugh and bitch..... I want this to go on after my kids get married and have kids. It's alot of work to do Sunday dinner but every Sunday my husband says to me, your in your glory when the kids come for dinner and you know what I am. Again thanks for all the support and prayers.
