Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Hi everyone and sorry for not being around much to support you all... life is crazy. Shelby had a wonderful 1st birthday and thank goodness thats over. Last weekend, I moved into the 260 range and I have no idea how much I weighed 3 years ago when I got married, but thought - hey I'm going to see how much further until my wedding dress fits. So out of the closet it came... Well, I put my beautiful dress on... and it fell right off! I said to hubby, "Hubby... did you zip it and such?" He said, "Tina, it IS zipped!" I wanted to laugh AND cry. I had hoped to fit into it again, wear it around the house to feel like a princess, the way I did that day. But I am smaller than I was my wedding day! WOOHOO! We have decided that my last day at work will be 12/28/07 whereas I will resign my position to start my own business, caring for others children from our home! I have been spending all my free time researching on what I need to do to get ready, how to do it, what other people are doing and charging. I signed up for classes at the local technical college in Early Childhood Development and my first class starts in Oct. This past weekend I attended Infant, Child, ADULT CPR, First Aid and AED. I am working with an accountant on tax laws and going over options for the state of Wisconsin. Lots going on, but am quite excited about the whole thing! We are having 90 degree weather so we havent closed the pool for the season yet - hard to beleive its 90 at the end of Sept. in Wisconsin! OK Shelby is asking for mommy, so I will have to come back later! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I guess I did miss a step in my story! Sorry... Yes, Hubby found a new job - closer to home making $2 less an hour, but with full benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, profit sharing, pension, sick time, vacation time, and personal time! It was an opportunity he could not pass up because in addition to doing what he does now, he will be learning the next level up and be trained to replace him, which in the end will be way more money. So in order for him to accept, it meant I had to consolidate some debts, which included all our credit cards. I completed that process last week and it will save us over $300 a month and have the cards paid off in 36 months (unless we can make extra payments, then sooner). Also, we sat down and did a household budget and figured out that if we were to continue with things the way they are currently (I work quite a distance from home) we are $79 a month IN THE HOLE! If we changed and he accepted this job and I resigned and started childcare, we would be $711 POSTIVE each month. How could we not do it? Then the decision was timing. I need time to get the house in order, get my rules/regulations/procedures in order, figure out certification or licensing, taxes, bookkeeping, etc... I need time to find children to care for, take a few classes, etc... We have already met our deductible for health insurance for the year and hubby doesnt become benefits eligible at the new place until 12/1, so we figured it would make sense to stay here with current health insurance until the end of the year. So my last day will be 12/28. Have lots to still figure out, but I am confident that this was the best decision for our family, especially Shelby. She is fine where she is (with Julie the sitter) but she will be even better with her momma in her home learning to socialize and be a good person. I know it wont be easy, but neither is the current situation which seems to depress me because of the time spent away from home and family. Sorry that got so long, wanted to catch you up! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | It certainly seems longer than 2 months to me! I am still glad I had the surgery, though I am not mourning food as often as I once was, I still catch myself wishing and thinking. I am sure as we progress, that will change. Cheers to us for doing such a good job SURGERY BUDDIES! |
