Unhappy I need a moment...

There is a lot of "noise" going on in my head right about now.

I look thru the stats of others who have had surgery around the same time as me and they have lost WAY MORE. i wonder. am i doing something wrong? is it just NOT going to work for me? is this it? am i done losing?
granted i am not the type to exercise for hours on end, but i get it in WAY MORE than i did pre-op. i eat a million times less and a lot healtheir than i did pre-op. what's the deal?

I know what you are each going to say lol. I've gotten to know you all very well and know exactly what each response will be. "we all lose differently" "hang in there" "you've done well so far" "be patient" LOL! i know but DARNIT! I still feel as though I am going to be the one this doesnt work for. I am going to be the one who's weight loss doesnt last. and as much as i want to say its something ive done wrong and need to correct, i just cant figure it out. i have gone back to basics and gotten strict with the protein and the fluids. i exercise (and gain weight of course but i still do it) i dont get it...

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i think so many of us feel exactly the same as you.... it is all a head trip. It is that same form of self loathing, low self esteem, that most of us have from being heavy in the first place. Just try to stay in a good place and think positive. Positive thought brings positive results. At least that is what i think.

Look at how far you've come. How could you have gotten that far if you weren't doing something right? Kenya, you can do this as long as you keep the rules in mind. You have the tool now, and it WILL work for you if you choose to use it. Chin up, girl!

KENYAR its so normal for all these things to go on in your mind. AND the moods to swing with all this. I look back on my first year and see how mentally crazy
i made myself stressin these issues and more.

I will try to explain this as best as i can...
but we all loose in percents......
a percent starting from how much weight you have to loose
BASED on that people with MORE to loose are looseing their
weight to loose at the same percentage rate as u but being
smaller and less to loose over all it seems to be comeing
off slower but in fact its not.

10 percent of my weight starting at 310 lbs
is going to be highter then someone starting out and 230lbs....
but its the percents we loose at certain time frames
I hope i explained it on here right its hard to online
hang in there
your doing fine
and u got to relax that head of urs!

Awwwww Kenya, go easy on yourself--you are right about what I am going to say--we all lose at different rates. Sometimes seeing each others weight lose is not a good thing because we do compare ourselves with others. As an overweight person, this is something we all did all our lives. Please don't put yourself back in that box!! Be happy where you are at now--look how much healtier you are. Listen to your body speaking to you--I'll bet you feel so much better exercising , eating healthier,
and lowering you BP and Cholesterol. We all will be going through this phase of our weight lose journey--and I'm sure we will feel like you feel right now. so please, when I get to this point, please remind me of all the above reasons. You are doing fantastic sweetie--don't lose sight of that.

I'm right there with you Kenya. I am so darned tired of hitting these stupid plateaus. I keep thinking I better get some more off before my 6 month check up, even though my surgeon told me it was normal to be down 60 - 70 lbs by then.

i get everything that everybody is trying to say. no theres no way i would have gotten here without the surgery and what not. yes i do feel better etc. BUT, DAMMIT i want to be at goal! lol! it's frustrating to say the least. i wish i would plateau. my issue is i bounce. i have been losing and gaining the same damn 4 lbs ever since i hit the 180's TODAY im 191. i wish i would hit a genuine plateau instead of bouncing. its a COMPLETE headtrip. you have no idea...

Kenyar I think you have done such a wonderful job and through your posts it is waaay obvious you are doing things right and are not one of the ones messing this up. I was going to say pretty much the same thing Lisa said, it makes perfect sense to me. You are doing great and will continue to do great! kathyanne

Jeanne, both you and Kenya are doing fantastic with your weight losses!!! The thing we probably should'nt do is weigh ourselves so often. I know I sometimes think the weight is now slowing down alot, why aren't the numbers moving?? You ladies look BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Default Right there with you!

Hey Kenyar I am literally right there with you, both in surgery date and weight loss experience. It seems at every weight loss milestone I yo-yo. For instance about ten days ago I was 199lbs. I was so excited. I thought I am fast approaching goal now. Then the inevitable hit me,201,202, 203,199,201,203,205,207,210,now 206. It always seems to happen and like you I say how can this be I watch what I eat and drink how is it physically possible for me to gain 11lbs in ten days? In the end though, when I look at my trend I lose weight. I probably still average 15-17 lbs a month.Even my weight loss surgeon tells me to stop tripping. Bottom line is eat healthy exercise and the rest will take care of itself, even though it does really bother me.
