Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Damn girl I am surprised you even moved your car at all - What a kook - I had one of those one time and only went once. Hey if you need to talk - thats what this group is for as well - Not to surpass the need for clinical help however most of us here have our moments in the barrel as I call it or my don't bug me mind but we can work it thru 5 minutes at a time too

Exclamation

journaling is what has helped me through a lot of those dark times. But then I like to write. LOL..

My mom is a long time mental health professional and after the near year of the PTSD therapist who started pushing to have me come in and get on anti-D's and to NOT see me anymore pro-bono...well needless to say my mom got horribly po-ed.

One thing I do want to say is that sadness and depression are NOT the same thing. We often are in MOURNING and SAD not depressed. But society tells us we are depressed..take a pill and GET OVER IT.

Well ya know..my answer now after a long time of working this stuff out..is YOU need to get over YOUR uncomfi-ness with MY showing of SADNESS over the loss of so many things. I won't even begin to list them as it becomes overwhelming to see them listed in print.

It's OK to be sad about losing our weight, it's OK to feel SAD and want to sometimes be alone and it's OK to be SAD when we realize society makes judgements on us even when we lose weight by how thin, or attractive or whatever it is they see.

It's OK to be SAD when it's due to a specific event.

It's just not ok when it becomes a focus on wanting to leave this life or getting to where you won't leave the house because of wanting to stay holed away in your home. ..

depression and sadness are NOT the same thing.

As it is the 'season' for me of a lot of very bad anniversaries I've had 2 different people who were obviously uncomfy with my obvious sadness right now. They've mentioned 'medication'. These are NOT medical professionals, they don't even know the extent of the 'badness' of these anniversaries or even how MANY back to back there are. They don't know what treatments I'm getting right now to deal with some medical issues that frankly are none of their business. I do NOT have to share all my private issues...

So..in kind I've responded in not so nice a way to them because I became so angry at their assumptions that they even would suggest inappropriately anything with the word 'medication' contained within it.

po-ed doesn't even begin to start with my anger levels the past 4 days.

again...SADNESS --for specific reasons and focused on specific events is NOT depression.

yeah i journal. ive been journalling since my teen years.i do find it helpful. especially when i lok back and read over things; which is rare LOL. i know theres a difference between depression and sadness, HOWEVER i think what you describe is SEVERE and requires medications and what not. i dont think i am in THAT dark of a place. i just want to be left alone to sort things out at times. i dont want to leap off of my building head first or anything like that. though like i said i do have DARK TIMES, but i think im ok. honestly. and i'd be the first to admit if i wasnt. thats just me.

Kenya,

To admit the dark times is confrontation...and that's usually 1/2 the trip...we all get there sometimes ....last year when I lost my mom...I thought "how do I go on...how do I continue?"

It got realllllly dark for a while.....but in order to know dark, it means you acknowledge the light shines elsewhere....and that's hope my dear....

You seem very strong....but as I'm sure with any of us with weight struggles, there is a lot of dark most people around us don't even know existed. I think it's healthy...especially since you don't feel like leaping tall buildings in a single bound....

Most of all, you come here and seek suggestions, advice, and use the sounding board....that's the best thing of all...knowing you aren't alone!!

Default afterthought

i think i like FEELING. whether i am sad, depressed, lonely, happy, content, it's nice to actually FEEL it. so i welcome the ups and downs. i dont want to be medicated to the point of numbness. thats what food did for me. now that i am not clouded by the refined sugar etc, it's good to be human and aknowledge the feelings ....just a thought
