Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | sorry if this post comes thru twice. i posted it once and i didnt see it so i did it again. i went to the supermarket after a HUGE argument with my daughter's father. of course the intention was to buy stuff and binge. i didnt really think about it, i just found myself there. i think i figured all of this out in retrospect. which is kinda good....of course when i got to the supermarket i realized my stomach is now the size of a pea but i walked thru the store and read labels on the stuff i totaly would have eaten. the only two i remembered was white castle cheeseburgers and jimmy dean sausage egg and cheese buscuits. check this out. the jimmy dean breakfast biscuit has 430 calories the white castle cheeseburgers have 160 calories and 9g of fat. which is fine if you only eat one. i used to eat 6 at the very least. 6 is 960 calories in ONE SITTING. thats more calories than what i eat in a day ( i assume. i dont literally count them but i know around how many i eat daily) I was just thinking damn, i only eat like 800 calories a day now on average. the stuff i used to eat was equal to that in one sitting. i couldnt even imagine how many calories i ate a day plus all the fat...i cannot even do the math. i think it would be interesting to see what everyone else used to eat. so if you have time and it doesnt depress you, ( and you arent embarassed by participating) look up one of your binge foods and paste the nutritional information here. you just might be amazed. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Ok if i had followed thru and read all the posts more I would see what your last paragrah asked. My big binge thing before surgery was Doritos and cheese. And God when I think of it I probably ate 1/2 a bag and probably like 10 slices of cheese (brick, sharp cheddar cheese). I dont know how to look up the info but Im sure it was bad!!!!!!!!! |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | well this is the label for doritos LOL! and they consider one ounce a serving. 1/2 the bag is not an ounce by any means LOL! i used to eat these too! i used to get the big family size bag and just sit on the sofa and eat them... |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I looked up a typical day for me quite awhile ago and I remember it totaled over 4000 calories! I don't particularly want to post exactly what all I ate because I would have to think about the food I used to love and I'll start missing it and I don't need to go there. I think it's better to keep looking forward and try not to think about foods I can't have anymore. |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Gosh, it's hard to say because I didn't have a certain "binge" food. But I can guarantee you that if I was on a stress/depressed binge, I would eat sweets, salt (chips), and then more. I really miss Burger King. I would get a Whopper combo meal, "large" of course, and sometimes even get 2 taco's with it when they were selling them. I can only imagine how many calories were in THAT meal. I think about my old eating habits all the time. I think that keeps me in line sometimes too. |
