Default What's Your Story?

I have a couple of books that are so helpful to me. They are both non-fiction. One is an anthology: Scoot Over Skinny (the Nonfiction fat anthology). The other is Passing for Thin by Frances Kimmel--it's an auto biography. When things get really tough and the plateaus are long, I read them over and over. There is something fascinating and comforting about immersing yourself in another "formerly fat" person's journey.

I wonder if people would like to write their OWN stories, or if there's someplace on the site that I've missed for it already. Generally speaking, the stories would span the course of your life OR the development of your weight problem(s) and various food obsessions/compulsions.

Not only is telling your complete story helpful and supportive to OTHERS, it is a cleansing process for yourself!

I wonder how my fellow travelers feel about this idea??? We could use THIS Thread--both to tell, and also to give feedback on, stories. What's yours?

You up for it?

XOXO
Mya

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

There isn't yet a thread on the "why". I think the question can be too tender and hurting for some, because of deeply hidden past incidents and lives. Of course, it helps to share, but they may feel insecure about letting it out. I have noticed some who've analyzed in some thread or another, but not a collective thread.
As Kenyar said, we now have a blog, so if you feel like posting, that's another place. How ever, so far, no one's posted in that respect, either.
Still, this is something that needs to be dealt with, in one way or another, as how you deal with the problem may make your ride rougher or smoother.

I wasn't thinking so much of "why"... ...because I don't believe anyone knows the "why" of anything. I also wasn't thinking of sharing at the level of excruciating pain. I had in mind an autobiography of weight/life.
???

Ah, okay. That would be a nice subjects for blogs, again, as well as a good thread. Also, I think such thoughts will help people who don't know what it's like, to get a glimpse and gain some measure of understanding.
