| Update on Me
Ok, I went back to work Monday. Just a half a day. Thought my boss was nuts when he told me to do a half a day. Thank goodness he suggested it. I was so freaking tired. I drove home and have to drive up a very steep and curvy mountian. I had to stop half way up and hurl. Sigh..... Dry heaves again. I went in Tues.....felt plain auful. My whole body hurt. Tummy didnt like me getting it up at 5am. Worked and went back to the surgeon that afternoon for a regualr schuduled visit. He says im doing good. He was concered I went on back to work. I said Doc its been 8 weeks.......... his reply I DONT CARE IF ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS ! I have no problem pulling you back out of work if you cant do it. ( I will call Mark personally if I have to. ) He was speaking about the Doctor I work for. Speaking of which he has been very good about this whole thing and very concered. The post tramatic stress part is hard to deal with. I think that is part of my problem. I wanna go to work and be me again. Do what I did before. I didnt know how much of a toll it played on my body until trying to work again. I think im doing better but have a ways to go with it.
I had my husband tell me everything that went on with me while in the hosptial where as before I asked him not to talk about it. It seemed to help alot. I understood some things that I dreamed about happening. I have found I have to make myself go out and do stuff. Like going grocery shopping. The hubby has done it all this time. I dont like the withdrawn feeling I have. I went though this one other time after my father died and took me a long time to get myself out of it. Thank GOD for my hubby. Hes as strong as the day I met him with all of this. He understands. He gently pushes me and that is what I need.
I have lost 62 lbs. Im very grateful for that. If feel better in that regard. I cant wait to see all my nieces and nephews for thanksgiving. We all live so close but never see each other enough. I will take pictures and do a post along with I hope a updated version of myself. I have always hated to have my picture taken anways. So that is another thing that is so very hard for me. One battle at a time.

Thanks for the update Vicki, I had been wondering about how your PTSD was doing. I hope that time will heal this for you. I understand the picture thing too, it is hard to find any before pics for me cause I was such a pro at avoiding cameras!

It does take time to get back to "normal". I'm just so glad that everything is going ok for you now "physically". The "mental" stuff will work itself out, I have no doubts about that. Especially since you have such a strong supportive husband by your side. Lean on him, he'll help you get thru this.
