Smile Ready for action!!!!

Hallo again!

Had my surgery 6 days ago and I have lost 13 pounds.

So happy to be home!

The surgery went well and I haven`t been sick at all.

A little bit soar, but it`s nothing.

Today I have had a smoothie(Strawberry, banana and orange),

a toast whith creamcheese, curry soup and lots of water.

Is that ok or am I doing something wrong?

Anne-Gro

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Glad things are going well.....it sounds like you are on your way....I would have stayed away from toast/cream cheese (carbs and fat) unless you are consuming the fat free stuff...which should have some protein for you...did your doctor give you a plan...there was no way a week out I was consuming much more than full liquids (popsicles, pudding, oatmeal etc)!

Welcome back, congratulations on joining the Loser's Bench.
As Kath says, what's the eating plan your surgeon gave you?
Either the surgeon should have included the plan in the papers he's given you, or you should have had directions from the nutritionist/dietician.

(((((HUGS)))) May your journey go well.

I did get a plan, and it did include toast and creamcheese light.

In the hospital we were given toast, coffe, jam, creamcheese, cream, sugar and a yoghurt ( isn`t that crazy? ) for breakfast ( I only had the yoghurt and some toast).

The surgent Bruno Dillemans did a sucsessful surgery on me. But the hospital failed with the information.

Soooo thankful that I can ask you guys!!!!!

Congrats to you on your recent surgery. And i would have said the same thing. no on the toast and cream cheese but heck if thats what your surgeon said then do it if it works for you. i was on liquids for a while in the begining. Congrats again.

Well, you are still healing, and will be for a while, so take it easy.
Be sure you sip sip sip (you can't gulp yet this early out) water or whatever liquids you can get in.
How much liquids and protein were you told to get in? For now, get those two in as you are told, and the rest should follow naturally.
As for the food stages, hmm, your surgeon is much less strict than US surgeons, but you should do as your surgeon says.

Good to hear from you!! So glad everything went well for your surgery!! I agree you should stick to the plan your surgeon gave you and you should be fine. Make sure to get your liquids in, dehydrating is no fun at all.
