Red face Sorry that it has been so long....

Hi everyone!
Sorry it has been so long since I've last posted. I do try to "pop" in and read the posts on my lunch break at work when I can. I am SO very impressed with everyone's progress....AMAZING! You are all such an inspiration!

To give you an update on me, I'm kind of "stuck" at 161 lbs. It feels like i have been at the same weight FOREVER! Is it possible that my body has decided to settle at this weight? The last time I went to my docs (6 month follow up appt) he told me that he expects me to stay at or around 155 lbs. I must have made an awful face because he said- you can get lower than that, but you will have to be EXTREMELY restrictive. So, that is what i'm working on now- being more restrictive. I think I make good food choices, most of the time. However, I have tested the waters and am sad to say that I do not dump. So, I know that making good food choices and daily excercise is the key to stay on track.

I currently wear a juniors (cheaper!) size 9 and have been doing most of my shopping at Aeropostale. I think shopping has been the best part of this experience!

I have not had any other issues with my gallbladder-so, i chose to not have it removed until/if it happens again. The other issue that i'm dealing with is my surgeons office is no longer accepting my insurance (BCBS) after the first of this year. So, when/if I have to have it taken out I will have to find a new surgeon. Also, not sure what to do regarding follow up appts. Would a surgeon who performed gastric bypass see a patient who had surgery performed by another doc?

Anyways, so sorry to ramble....I hope that everyone is feeling and doing as well as they look! Happy Holidays!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

if you find out the answer to that Doctor question let me know. i am sorta going through the same thing, except i am changing from a PPO to an HMO and my surgeon isn't in the same IPA, i filled out a continuancy of care form, so i will see if that goes through. i do know that when i was having problems i couldn't find anyone local to help me, i had to drive the hour and half to get the help from my surgeon, so that is kinda scary knowing another surgeon couldn't help me (local)...

They should. Ask you surgeons office to refer you to another physican and tell them the reason why. You may luck out and have the Dr keep you as a patient and just charge you regular like if they took your insurance. The Dr himself knows why they dont take your insurance any longer and will help you find another physican if necessary.

Jessica, so nice to hear from you!!! Like Kenya said, you may have just hit a big stall. As long as you're being restrictive and exercising, I can't imagine it NOT coming off. I know it's frustrating, just try to stay positive.

Glad to hear from you, thanks for the update.
Keep plugging at the *program* and you're sure to start losing again soon enough. It's tough when you hit a stall, but keep your faith and keep it all up, and you'll do fine.
