Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  I feel old Okay, I am happy I am losing weight, but, I hate my face!! I think it is this: The last time I was thin, I was 19 years old, and I guess I figured when the weight loss started showing, I would look like I did then???? But the face I see in the mirror is "old" I am 36 now and I guess I am feeling the effect of never "looking" like I was in my 20's, I spent them overweight, and looking like "her", the overweight person that I never recognized either. Now I have an old person looking back at me that I dont recognize either, except she looks like my aunt Mona. Now my husband says "Your aunt Mona is beautiful, be glad you look like her!" but she is also an "older woman". I guess I am mourning not ever being 20 something???? I lost my 20's!!! A whole decade of my life, gone, not coming back, lost....Maybe that is why I am so immature, I refuse to let go of them mentally????

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am 57 and I will never look like I was when i was in my 20's. But I sure am looking better than I did before I started my journey. I can really see it on my face but still not on my stomach. I have had many people comment that they can really see the weight loss. So that is a good feeling. I feel so much prettier to now than i did before. My husbands brother was here a few nights ago and said boy you are sure lossing now and he said he can really see it on me and he said I look so much happier than I did before. He usually lays it on the line the way he see it. I think you have a pretty face and just enjoy it now. I know it is hard not to see who you want to see, but you look great. Just think when you got all the weight off that you want off you will love how you look compared to before you had the surgery. You go girl, you are doing great and you are beautiful!!!!!

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | To be very honest Traci honey, i had a much better time in my 30s than I did my 20s. The only thing that makes me feel old now is my arthritis. That is the truth. I dont wear alot of makeup and try not to wear it acutally but when i do I have found if you get the newer makeup they have now not the orginal stuff we have used for years, it dont show the lines in your face like the other does especially around the eyes. Now your losing all the weight you will feel better and you will do things you probally couldnt do at that younger age. Give your self that chance. |
