Default I'm Back!! Formerly known as knm30554.

Hi Everyone. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I have been out of pocket for a while now and I apologize. I kind of got off track and have been fighting depression for a few weeks now. My weight loss is at a standstill and I'm trying to get back on track. I discovered a few weeks ago that it doesn't make me sick when I eat sweets. I wish I would have never found this out!! It's been downhill from there. I'm trying to get back on track. With the holidays I have been snacking more than normal. Can anyone offer any good recipes or ideas of good things to eat? I'm so tired of the same thing. My diet mainly consists of chicken salad, grilled chicken, eggs, and beans.

By the way, my knm30554 account has been removed from RR. My computer had some issues and I had to change my email account. It's a long story. So now I'm on as nikim. Glad to be back and I hope this helps me get back on track.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Welcome back.
Sorry to hear of your troubles.
I hope you're getting appropriate help for depression, it can be a bugger, and get in the way of keeping track of your eating.
Go back to the basic, protein first, lots of water, and the pouch rules, no liquids and solids together. Also, try to plan your meals for the day, and don't have anything extra around the house, so you won't be tempted.

On another note, if you want your old account and present account merged, please PM Michael and ask him to do so.

((((((HUGS))))) May your journey go well.

Hello - glad you're back. This process is such a journey, it's better for me to have you guys around to keep me on track - hope it helps you too. It's a great time of year to renew your commitment to yourself and to arrange things to work in your favor as Doc was suggesting above. If you are able to exercise, this is good for you in so many ways, also try to get in the sunlight a least a few minutes daily. God Bless!

This is a great time to renew, just sharing what I do: First thing in the morning I get my vitamins together and sit down in front of the computer and take them while I am on here, it starts my day off on a positive note to go here first! I have a new rule for myself, no food in the living room, I only eat at the table, it keeps me from snacking without realizing I am snacking. I keep lots of fruit in the house, if I cant make it till the next meal, I eat fruit. New rule, no eating after dinner, I have to limit my TV watching too cause I am tempted to snack then. Just a few things I have found to work for me. I suffer from depression too and right now am being a "guinny pig" for the dr. to find me something that will work, walking does help, and sunlight, or just getting on here and sharing! Hang in there hon, sometimes I feel I am just hanging there by a pinky finger but I refuse to let go!

The plan my surgeon has me on is no red meat for raw leafy vegetables for the first 6 months. What kind of fish is good?

Do you buy the shrimp that's already cooked and shelled or the ones that you have to cook? How do you cook the shrimp?
