Default The Big Bounce!!!!!

Kenya and a couple of others mentioned bouncing the other day....and I'm officially in BOUNCE LAND!!! One minute, I'm 190...then 191...then 190...then 192. I haven't changed my plan at ALL...in fact, I'm more strict than ever, and I've increased my cardio workouts to burn even more....I find the bounces are usually associated with a stall (I had a big WHOOOSH after Christmas, and now I'm stalled & bouncing worse than a rubber ball).

I've banished the scales back to the patio and in the back of my mind, I'm thinking....."you've lost nearly 70% of your excess weight...is it over?"

Statistically, they told me to expect 50-70% excess weight loss, so naturally, I'm thinking...OH LORD...I"M DONE!!! I'm so close to 100 pounds lost and it's eluding me as bad as ONEDERLAND did.....

I keep telling myself I've lost 90 pounds in less than 6 months...but I"M SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Well, it won't be like wham, bam, as far as I know.
It will be more like do you feel comfortable and happy about yourself at whatever weight you seem to hover around at, after having lost 50-70% of your original excess weight.

would you say at that point it would be a "struggle" to lose more? im trying to figure out if im done myself (sorry to hijack kath) im happy where i am, but my clothes are still getting baggy. i still lose a lb or two here or there but im not exactlu exercising....again im clueless.

kath i think 6 month was when the bounce as insane for me. i would drop 6 gain 11 and so forth. be grateful you are just bouncing one it will work itself out. it's all a head game.

Well, given your height and your present weight and your BMI, you know you have lost ALL your excess weight now, Kenyar, as excess weight means, your weight over the number that puts your BMI at 24.9 which is the highest number for the normal range. In other words, your weight is in the minus range now, as far as excess weight goes. And, as I said before, IF you have your excess skin removed, that will be another minus 5-10lbs.
So, for you, it's more about toning up your body, actually, and bringing variety into your eating, so you can get more of the essential nutrition from food.

As for Kath, I'm pretty sure you'll lose another 20-30 at least within the next 6 months, probably be able to lost all of the 40 lbs by next fall. That means, about a 5lb loss on the average over the next several months. Which is a very healthy rate of losing, actually. Not too fast, not too slow, and that is how the going the best for your health and body. Train yourself to be patient through all this, as patience is what is going to carry you through this, throughout your life.

Kathy, i so hear you. I stopped losing weight at 9 months out. I was really hoping to keep losing all the way to the year mark. now i just go from 150- 153 all the time. and it is very frustrating. But i do know that if i was able to tone up i would be and look a lot better. I just keep reminding myself of how much healthier i am and that now i need to just keep going forward.
Good Luck and i know you will do great. you look wonderful.

that's the thing too....I haven't lost any more recently, but my clothes are getting more loose (guess the extra cardio work at the gym is paying off!!!) I really want to reach goal....and I'm going to stick to the plan and keep working at it...and YES, I know I am WAY more healthy now than I was 90 pounds ago....I coudn't even lift that 90 pound weight at the gym the other day...I have NO FREAKING clue how I was carrying that weight around just 23 weeks ago?!?!?!
