Default anyone?

Well i see that this section is empty so i thought i'd put something in so craig's hard work won't go to waste.
Has anyone had plastic surgery afterwards. What did you have done? Where? Was it covered by insurance?
i'm saving for the case that i will need plastic surgery. and i do plan on getting everything re vamped, i'm pretty sure i'll need it. I have heard however that the longer you wait after your weight loss the more your skin will return to where it's supposed to be. I'm gonna be ready for the plastics but if i don't need it all that saved money will be going towards new clothes. Killing two birds with one stone i guess.
Any insights, thoughts, advice?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I've not had plastic surgery yet ( although I tend to think of it of reconstruction surgery rather than PS!) but am in the process of finding a date with my surgeon to have an operation to remove the excess skin from my arms and stomach. It's going to be a 7 hour operation and must admit as I've only ever been to hospital to give birth it's a fairly scary thought, although incredibly exciting too of course. I've decided to go through with it because with the way it is it constantly bothers me, I wear long sleeves all the time and have to constantly tuck myself into my pants, and I havent put in all this work to not be able to wear a singlet in hot weather or at the gym! It's kind of going to be my reward to myself! Still fairly new to the computer thing but will try and find my way around so I can post before and after photos.

that's great Heidi. Please before and after pictures when you get it fiqured out. And keep us updated about the reconstructive surgery. That's a long time for an operation but it will be worth it. i too have decided that after losing the weight i will have the plastics for the same reason. Although initially i decided to have this surgery to improve my health i also decided that i'm not going to go through all i have to and not be comfortable in my skin. Keep us updated ok? Do they do it all at once or do you have to do your arms, tummy ect. seperatley?

Yep both tummy and arms are going to be done at once, mostly because of the cost issues of what it would be to have two different operations. Can't wait, infact bought a post-op sleeveless top yesterday! Hanging in the closet waiting for me!

Good luck with everything Heidi. I guess that Star Jones just had a tummy tuck and breast lift done. (according to magazines) I agree with you both that I am not going to go through all of this work to not feel happy with how I look. I already told my husband that if I do this and end up with problems with skin that we will do what it takes to finance reconstructive surgery. Even before I decided to have lap rny, I always told people that I wanted the three r's of breast surgery, reduce, refill, relift. I am looking forward to a day when my girls will no longer be staring at the ground...hehehe.
