Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Awwww, Julie, ((((((HUGS))))))
First off, welcome to the board.
Immediatly post op seems to be the harderst time for you all.
Hang in there, get as much rest you can, cry yourself out buckets, you need that too, and as the days go by, I'm sure you'll find yourself feeling just a wee bit better. There are several newly out post ops on this forum, so I'm sure you'll find lots of support here.
(((((((HUGS)))))))) again, may your journey go well.

Julie, I can really relate. First off know that you aren't alone. I am still pretty new post op and am on a constant emotional roller coaster. One of the problems is that you have taken away what is for most of us a major coping method, food and it is hard figuring out how to satisfy your need to soothe yourself without using food. That and there is so much out there that we can't eat that is a normal thing for everyone else. I am just barely on the purees right now and life is starting to look up for me. Everyday does get better for the most part, even though there are a few days where I still slide back and just seem to be in a fog. My hubby is having a hard time dealing with my moods, and even though he tries to be patient it is hard for him to understand all that I am going through. Hang in there and right now is the time you really need to be able to rely on us and talk it all out. This will all work out eventually and pretty soon you will be thinking back on this as one of the best things you ever did. (((Huggs)))

Hi All, My sister had this surgery 99 pounds ago, and she also went through the, "what have I done" times. She is alot better, but battleing the hanging skin, everywhere. She is waiting for surgery info. on that. I am asking my doctor next week about me having the surgery. I have no choice, I am fat, that is that. I have lost the will to diet ever again. I worry too about the extra skin, at my age (near 50) my skin will not go back. But what is worse, being soo fat, my but soo huge, and not good without cloths or in cloths. At least, after my surgery, I will look decent in cloths. I don't look at myself now, it is terrible. Plus not only do I look fat, I feel fat. I am so tired of it. Can't hardly tie my shoes anymore without a 5 minute break in between shoes. I plan and hope for surgery this late fall or around Christmas. Hope I will be ready for the emotional times. I am trying to get ready. Good luck to all of you and your are brave just to undergo this surgery. I wish the best for you all. I am new to this site, but will continue with it, in hopes of getting what I need to prepare myself.

Gyspie_johnson...
boy a year ago i could have wrote that post, when i was
pre op. I fully related to not being able to tie shoes without
needing a break, i wore mules/clogs to avoid bending to put
on or have to tie a shoe.

I am now a year post op, down 143 pounds. AND i am happy
with how i look. I do have the mind set as you...that if i look
good in my clothes i am okay with that and dont care about
the skin at all. AND right now im in that mode...clothes look
good at size 8 verses starting this snuggly fitting a 30/32 (4X) and
miserable!!!!
I wish you luck as your journey begins and we are here for all
your questions that will come up! GOOD LUCK and i look
forward to getting to know you more thru your posts!
MAYBE even a chat in the chat room here some time.
I try to get in the chat room daily between 12 and 2 pm
