Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I am already starting to have some skin irratations below my (shrinking) stomach, do i document it with my surgeon or do i have to do that with my pcp? I already know my insurance covers it but i know it has to be well documented, and they dont do it till 18 months post-op... |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | i went to my surgeon regarding my skin and what not, and he refered me to my pcp to document even though i am still on the fence about plastics. he said, you pcp makes the recommendations. i guess that kind of made sense since this journey began with my pcp as well. cant hurt to tell them both about it. and while your at it, see a dermatologist too! lol. |

| Super Moderator | Yup, keep both your surgeon and PCP in the loop, and also ask to be referred to a dermatologist, so that dr can definitely say that medication will be only a temp relief, and you need to have the extra skin that irritates removed for a cure.

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | I can tell you, you use it for baby's but keep it dry, use a bit of Desitin, ya know, what they use for baby's, it helps the rashiness. My splits a bit here and there, i use the cream for a few days and corn starch to keep it dry, it goes away.
