HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...you guys are CRAZY!!!!
Its been a ROUGH few weeks for me to say the LEAST! I have been trying not to post until I am all healed up. Ok...I still have the dreaded drain...he will NOT take it out because it is still filling over 100 cc's a day with a deep wine color. I am at 4 weeks now! Because that is in me still, I am on antibiotics until it comes out (who knows when at this point) and have been dealing with the "itchy scratchies" down stairs!
Now...my new belly button ALMOST didnt make it and it is now being dressed with a wet to dry gauze daily until it is fully healed. That sucker is the size of a half dollar now! And it gets better...apparently I had a SEVERE reaction to the tape covering my incision and it gave me a 2nd/3rd degree burn type thing on my pubis area where some of the skin has died and there is now a crater type thing. Can you say more surgery in 6 months???? I have to go back and have a revision in aout 6 months to fix the belly button and pull more skin from the pubis to get rid of the scar that will be left from the "burn". Kind of depressing huh?? I have been, but I am better now. I have a super duper flat belly and actually went out shopping with my hubby today and tried on a cuteeeeeee pair of bright pink capris that were a size 8 Petite with a lil room to spare!! Mind you that I am still ALOT swollen because of all of the draining!
Getting better every single day even though it is taking a lot longer than it should have. Thanks for asking and thinking about me!!! I love each and every one of you guys!!!!

Thanks for updating us Kim. I have been wondering how you are doing and if you had your drains out yet. I can't imagine how annoying it must be to still have them in. And then to have the rash from the tape. Goodness your having a tough time. But hang in there. Things will get better sweetheart.

Ouchy! Dang girl when you do it up you go for it!! I'm so sorry your healing is taking so long. Just not fair! Why is there so much draining at 4 weeks out? I'm wondering if you should have a 2nd opinion to see if it's okay to leave that drain in this long.

Yeah, I talked to him about it and he best advice was to leave it in because there could be more complications without it than with it since I am still draining so much! I also researched online and OH.com and they say the exact saem thing. There just are some WLS people that do this. THere was one lady who had hers in for almost 12 weeks. I am actually ok with the drain since I saw what the needle looks like that they have to stick in you to drain!!!! LOLOL The only prolem with the drain is that the stitch finally came out of my skin so now it is being taped down to my leg...TAPE!!! LOLOL I have to move the tape daily to various spots on my leg. I also found a realyyyyyyyyy expensive tape at the medical supply store that it for sensitive skin and made with Zinc. So far so good, but I dont want to chance anything and leave it in the same spot for too long! Quote:
