Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

To all you PS graduates

Please tell me why the drains are so miserable....I hear over and over people hate their drains and can't wait to get them out. Why? Are they painful, just annoying, what? I want to be prepared!

Well, it is inside you...pain enough! Then you have to deal with it being stitched to your skin at the site. It is normally put in the groin area, so you have your panties tugging on it, and you have to find a way to keep it up while showering...I used an old shoelace and hung it around my neck. You pull on it, it hurts, tug on it, it hurts, sit wrong, it hurts. LOLOLOL Its like a bee sting type of hurt...It is a necessary evil! Trust me! LOLOLOL The worst part of this is going to be the Abs...you are going to feel like you have done Ab work NON STOP for a year! LOLOLOL But you WILL love the outcome!!!!!

yeah the drains just tug at your skin and like Kim said they are right there in the way.
Once when I was showering my so called necklace that I using to hold up my drain broke and OMG it hurt so bad. Its just that tugging at your skin and doesnt really hurt but its really annoying and bothersome.
I had my two drains in a few extra days due to my surgery being around the Thanksgiving holiday and all. But it was still worth it all~!!!
Good Luck Kara~!!!

Yep, I stood up once from the toilet and forgot they weren't in my pockets and they swung free - OUCH! Mine were in my pubic hair area and it felt like someone had just pulled two hairs out. It's just so impossible to keep from accidentally tugging on them all the time, pulling up your clothes, turning in your sleep, whatever. You are constantly getting little nips of pain when you tug them. LOL DH was cleaning my drains for me one time and turned to reach for something and pulled the drain hard, I'm yelling ouch, ouch, ouch and he turns back and looks sheepish and said "oops, sorry forgot it was connected". Good thing he's cute, otherwise he would have been dead.

Good luck with all this honey. I didnt have plastics but carried a drain around with me for 6-8 weeks following RNY. Get you a neck holder thing. The kind you get at a race or what ever that you put passes in like at concerts . Those are great to keep the drain held up while showering. They do have ABD pads at the pharmacy for leakage. Ask the pharmist. He will know what they are. They are thin not like a maxi pad. Long story but I had to use them down low one time when I had a ovary taken out.

I will pray for you darlin. You deserve this and im happy for you. So many are in this stage of things now. Mabye one day I will have the tummy thighs and boobs put back ...........if I ever stop being chicken and I dont think thats gonna happen any time soon. Take care good luck and prayers. Smile its your time to shine!

Does your insurace pay for any of it especially the TT?
