| Pray for me for tummy tuck!!
Would you send prayers my way for my tummy tuck that is coming up on Monday Morning. I am getting so nervous, cleaning my house helps keep my mind off the surgery. Family and friends say that I will do great and all that I have gone threw, they said I will do great with that surgery and that I am tuff. As it is getting closer I am getting more scared. Now with the gastric bypass I was only scared a little, but not as much as I am now for the tummy tuck. I think that my daughter had the gastric bypass and how good she turned out helped me with my gastric bypass. But I have not seen a person, in person with the tummy tuck from around here. This place has really helped me out and put my mind at ease a little. It is going to be such a huge incision and the pain I guess scares me more than anything. I guess not knowing what to expect worries me. I have such a huge stomach which you cannot see on my pictures becasue of the pleats in my pants. the doctor told me that he has done alot of them so I put my faith in my surgeon and I trust he will do a great job on me.
So could you say a few prayers for me. Thank you all and thank you to the ones that have send me private messages of good luck. You guys are all the best friends a person could have. I love all of you. Thank you for the information also, that helped me prepare also.

Oh I will keep you in my prayers for sure. I want to have this done later on. I hope you do well and that the surgery is not so bad. It will be so worth it not to have that constant reminder hanging there to remind you. I want to follow you close so I hope you will share with me all about it. We are about the same age but what is age but a number?? I just know you will do well. You did so well with your weight loss. I am still not at my goal but I honestly think they could remove that much skin. They told me that I needed to be at least 18 mts after surgery before they would recommend me even seeing the surgeon. I hope you sail right through this and my thoughts will be with you. Please keep us posted we care about you so much. God bless and keep you. (((hugs))) dixie

Diana,
You are going to be so happy to get rid of all that excess skin that it's worth everything you have to go through. The skin is going to be numb for a long time (I'm still a little bit numb and it's been 6 months, but my scars are fading so much already, it's amazing) so the numbness helps, though it feels really weird. I'm sure you will get through this just fine.
Praying for you and looking forward to hearing from you afterwards.
Barb

Diana its not to bad, its tolerable, I am 2 days post op, spent 1 night in the hosp. the drains arn't even bothering me to bad its the darn binder I am finding a problem with getting it comfortable, and my darn tailbone has been hurting like something wicked since Wednesday night, even with a pillow! I wish they had taken the fat out of my lower abdomen and stuck it in my tailbone area! I was a bit dissapointed though only 3 pounds of skin and fat removed, the surgeon originally said 10 lbs, so I was hoping 10 lbs lighter, but turned out only 3 pounds... I can't do any weight lifting for 7 - 8 weeks and he said no treadmill, eliptical etc for at least 3 - 4 weeks... I did get a chance to see Thursday am when I was discharged, even with the swelling its was so flat already, I did notice there was more swelling today, with more walking and movement thats to be expected.. I had an anchor cut, but already happy with it, I am glad its over though! You do fine Diana.
