| 5 weeks after tummy tuck and an update.
Here is an update of my tummy tuck. I saw the doctor who did my surgery yesterday and I have a little infection on the crinkle side of my incession. It is on my right side. It is just a little red and just does not want to heal like the rest of the incision. So now I have to pack that little hole with a string gauze. Then in a month he wants to see me again to make sure everything is healing right by the crinkle. The hole is so tiny about the size of the end of a q-tip. He told me that next year in the fall he will fix that extra skin hanging by my croutch. He said the sweeling has gone down some but I will not lose all that skin unless I have surgery next fall. He told me he wants to wait about a year before he does it. I told him about October of next year becasue I do not want to miss out on my garden and he said that will be perfect and I will be healed up real good. I asked him if I have trouble with that crinkle all summer if he could fix that. He said we will see how that looks next summer if I need any work on that little crinkle. I told him only if it gives me trouble with sweeting and itching. He said then he will fix that for me. It is so small, so I hope it heals up and does good, I just am not interested in getting any more surgeries than neccesary. I could live with the croutch the way it is but I hate it when I take off my panties and it flops all over my bottom. With panties on you do not even see it, it is just that I know it is there and that bothers me and he knows that and so he siad that he will make it much smaller for me next fall. He also Said thatI am healing up wonderful for only 5 weeks out. So now I just need to get that litle infection cleared up and get that part healed up.
After we got home from the doctor and did some shopping in town,
Hubby and I decided to burn the tall weeds by the ditch coming into the yard, he was on the trailor and I drove the fourwheeler. He started the fire with a tortch and I just drove along. Well it was in a field that I had to drive to start the fire and fields are bumpy. We drove up and down the field about 5 times about 1/4 mile one way. The last time I had to drive down the field hubby said fast becasue the fire was close to a wooden post and did not want the fire on the wooden post. Well fields are not smooth but very bummpy. By the time I got in the house I was so sore by my belly from all the bumps. Told him no more for me this fall driving fourwheeler to burn tall weeds. I had that belt on so tight driving fourwheeler so that tummy would not bounce so much, but still it hurt alot. Today it is a little raw but not so bad.
On Saturday I am going to my folks place, my parents and my son and my daughter and her husband are doing to help with making pork sausage and freezing porkchops and such. My parents got a pork and had it butchered by a butcher. My parents are going to process the pork themselves and it is alot of work. I told them that I cannot help this year becasue of my surgery and they said I am just suppose to come and sit and visit with them. They said that they will miss me if I am not there. I always help them every year and it is alot of fun becasue we have alot of family there and we have a blast visiting with eachother. My Aunt and Uncle always help everyyear, but this year he hurt himself and will not be able to help and sure will miss them not being there. Hubby stays at home he does not care for stuff like that and he has alot fo trouble with his one knee since he had the sinsivisc 1 injection, the other knee from the injection, he said is so good. He would have alot of trouble helping them and I told him to sit in the house and take it easy for a few days. My hubby is one of those people that does not know how to take it easy and I figure he is a grown man and not a child and if he does not want to listen he just then has to suffer. Hubby took a few pictures of me at 5 weeks after tummy tuck, and for the life of him he cannot take very good steady pictures, most of them are so fuzzy. As you can see just under my boobs I am still pretty swollen and I have this big belt on yet and the doctor told me yesterday to leave it on at least another month, becasue everything looks so good and the longer i have it on the better. For some reason I look thinner in person than I do in the pictures, I have heard that from alot of my family members and friends. Before tummy tuck it pretty much looked like me but since tummy tuck it just does not make me look how I really am, weird!!!!

Hi there. I am glad you are doing so well. You look great. I am doing ok I guess, just wish these drains were gone. How long did have yours in? I hope to get one out next week then the other one the next. I do not regret having the surgery that is for sure but it is sure hard to recover from. Hope your problems get well soon..

Dixie hang in there. I would say that the drains were the worst part of my whole ordeal. I had mine in longer than normal due to my surgery being the Friday
before Thanksgiving last year and then the office was closed for the holiday and
the day after. I finally went the following week on the Tuesday. Let me tell you
I felt like a whole new woman~!!! And I thought it was gonna hurt when they came
out and it didnt at all.
So hang in there Dixie if you can get thru this time with the drains you can make it.
Kitty congrats and you look wonderful. You look fantastic~!!!

You look so great and slim and healthy, I'm so happy for you to get that extra skin removed, so glad your doing good. I hope my weight loss will continue, as slow as it is I think it will be another year before I'm ready to remove some skin.

Diana,
You look great, you've even got boobs now! Don't worry about the little hole, that's very normal after such a big cut. You'll heal soon and even the crinkly area will smooth out a lot. THat's part of why they want to wait, because a lot of it will smooth out. Take care.

Diana....wow, you look fantastic! Look'n better all the time. Yay!
Sorry your DH is having trouble with his knee after the Synvisc 1 shot. I suffered for about 2 weeks after my Synvisc 1 injection in my knee, but now it's been 6 weeks and I feel it was worth it. Mine was so swollen and sore I could hardly walk. home from work. I just hope the benefits last for awhile for both your DH and me... Ice packing mine helped a lot, maybe that would help him, too.
Sounds like you'll have fun with the family doing the butchering. Enjoy!
salli lou

You look so dam good Diane. I really mean that. I know your proud.
You were talking about your hubby having that synvisc One injection...... Honey I had the one put in me to and that one hurt me so bad afterwards. I normally do the round of 3 injections once a week for 3 weeks but they wanted to try the one shot. It took me an entire month to get that knee from stop hurting. WHen asking a orthropedic Dr about it he told me that its very well know for causing alot of inflamation. I told them I would take the three shots over that one any day.
So let your husband know that is what is wrong and let his Dr know about it. They may an give him somthing to help with the inflamation.
