So I went to the surgeon today and discussed what to do. We agreed that I really only need a TT and I wanted breast aug.

I'm really excited but dealing with the sticker shock.... It is SO MUCH MONEY!!! I'm happy he agreed that I didn't need the arms, thighs or the whole wrap around.

My hubby is totally supporting this, we don't have a lot extra and I'm feelling selfish.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

After I consulted the PS we decided against because we just did not have the money. My hubby said my extra skin did not bother him. My PS said he felt he would only need to do a TT too. My apron is not all that bad. In the end it is how you feel about yourself in addition to if the extra skin is causing you medical problems (i.e. rash, etc.). I would like to do it but just can't afford it at this time. Maybe sometime in the future.

I was told by my insurance company that if the skin causes rashes.. they will pay for the fix. Are they pulling the "skin" over my eyes???

There is a difference in a panniculectomy (Sp) and a tummy tuck. From what I understand insurance companies may cover the removal of extra skin if causing issues (panni) but the tummy tuck includes the reconstruction of the belly button and the reshaping that just removing the skin doesn't.

Well i say dont feel selfish and do whatever you have to do to raise the $ to have it done.......i just had a lower body lift / tt on 1-5-11 and i would do it a thousand times over, yes painful (still) and yes very expensive (11500.00) but i deserved it and i have no regrets so i say you go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much love

mary

I have a PS consultant tomorrow. I'm sure I'll have complete sticker shock too. I for sure want the TT and would love a lower body lift and breast augmention but I doubt I'll be able to afford all of them (especially since we're looking at buying a house right now). The DH keeps telling me that he doesn't even notice the lose skin but I can see the extra set of utters hanging down when we're intimate and I'm on top. It disgusts me. He keeps saying that if i have to do something he votes for the breast augmentation. LOL!!

Yall are so cute LOL. My hubby would love for me to have a breast lift to. Dont all men? Darlene....... most insurances will pay for a pannilectomy. This is a surgery that removes the skin from the stomach area. It does not tigthen the muscles or shape you like a tummy tuck would. AKA some liposuction etc. Now some that are good.... will do the best they can and kinda give you a little more for no extra. My insurance which is tricare will pay for it if its documented by the PCP like a rashes or skin brake downs. I know there was a lady about the time I joined that used nair to develop a rash to get it done. Yea a little over board but she did.

If you have large breast and it causes back pain and if you can get a Dr say it will help back pain they will even do a breast lift. It all depends on the insurance and how its all worded.

I myself........... my tummy needs to have the skin taken off. However which im not getting into the story I have told my husband several times Unless I win the lottery and they will knock me out for 3 months or if im hurt so bad I cant sign for myself..... I will only agree for my limbs etc to be operated on again. chest down to my butt. Im really not joking. I have had my share. The WLS had nothing to do with it. I look like I have had a autopsy on my stomach lets put it that way.

Now for anyone looking into this Great!!! Im all for it. And who knows I might win the lottery and be put out of it for 3 months no pain LOL.

I love that... knocked out for 3mths!! lol

Seriously, I would have the lose kin on tummy done as someone said above, its the um...intimate side of things when it shows the most...lol
If I had to choose though, I would get a boob job. The fill and lift thanks...lol
With the weight regain, my boobs filled out again, but just get reduced to foldaways when i was at goal...

I have often thought that If/when.. I win the lottery, over here its gets up to about 30mil MAX usually goes at 20ish, I would sponsor 10 wls at my surgeons office 1 for my mum and all associated lifts, tucks, wheel alignment... hehe but I would want to put it on here as well for PS.
How on earth would someone choose who to give it to? lets say, 10 people get to have whatever PS they need... how to choose???? urgh. its just daydreams, but I would do it in a heartbeat if I could.

Best wishes for your PS, and dont feel guilty. Your hubby is supporting you, which is great, and it all comes down to you loving yourself. If that takes a bit of PS to get you fully there, then DO IT. We go through so much, pre-op and post op. BE HAPPY, get nipped, tucked, sucked, filled, lengthened and tightened, whatever you need. You deserve it!!
