Default Bad news... or motivation to get off the pot?

Okay, so I had my consult with the Plastic Surgeon... and he wants me to lose at least 25 pounds AND KEEP IT OFF for 8+ months before he will consider surgery. Worst thing is that if I don't get it off and keep it off FAST I won't be a candidate for surgery here... because we have to have at least one year HERE after the surgery.
Okay, so I have to either $hit or get off the pot, don't i? So, I can take this as very bad news, or I can use it to motivate myself.

I guess I'll choose the latter, what do you say? So, back to protein, lots of water and getting off the couch. Who's with me???

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You go girl! You can do it!! Good luck!
On a side note, I lived in Keiserslautern when I was a kid and my mom worked at Ramstien AFB. I miss that area!

Thanks, Ang! By the way, my PS found it nearly impossible to believe that my WLS doc had NO GOAL WEIGHT for me. None. They are thrilled that I am almost at a normal BMI. They actually said I would be a poster child for WLS... so, why did my PS act like I was lying??? Argh... doctors.

Good positive thinking!!
The difference is whether the surgery was a drastic effort to get back your health, and, now that you have your health back, looking/feeing better as an added bonus.
I'm sure you can do it.

LOL Im not laughing at you I am at the PS. Mabye he or she thinks you wanna look like a Barbie doll? Mabye? I dunno honey. I think what you at right now is a good weight. Its up to you. You know honey I really dont think your done losing yet. It is best not to have anything done for atleast 2 years. Im glad your PS does want you to wait that long yes. Im the one that says your body still moves stuff around even after you think your done losing and it does. Im maintaing my weight within 2 pounds and have now for a good while. When putting on my jeans this year im gonna have to buy a size smaller? Makes no sense to me. Im the same weight as I was when I started wearing shorts back in the spring and have been the same weight as I was last fall but the jeans are gonna have to go down another size so.... that is why I said that. I had mine done in 2007. So honey its gonna move around on ya. Still yes. You will see what I mean as it goes along. You know you can always get another opinon..... but I do agree with being a couple years out before having any PS done to ya. Just my opinion on it honey.
