Angry New to this!

Hello Everyone

I have never posted anything on these websites before, but I am due to have my gastric bypass surgery 17 march 2008 and I am halfway through my liquid pre-op diet. It is soon becoming clear that no one understands how difficult this is, although everyone is trying their best. I am SO HUNGRY!! and REALLY GRUMPY!! especially as I have lost weight in this last week (probably because I'm NOT EATING!) and everyone keeps saying - 'oh why can't you just do this and not have surgery?' - AAGGRRHH! I am scared about the surgery but know I have to do it to get my life back.
Any encouraging comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
PS I'm not normally so grumpy - honestly!!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

LOl...been exactly where you are! It really does get easier! And will be so worth it in the end. You are doing this for you and your surgeon so that you can have a safe speedy recovery. I didnt think that I was going to make it when I did my liquid diet either. I had everyone here encouraging me every single day. This site quickly became my BEST FRIEND! Oh yeah, welcome to your new HOME! You have definately come to the right place for support and friendship! It is all family here!!

Welcome!! I have mine this tuesday (11th) so have been doing the pre-op diet also. I have been getting the same comments! I just tell them that being on the vlcd is definitley not sustainable, and that if they havent worked (and been maintained successfully) in the past, what makes them think it will work now? lol

just carry on with what you have to do.

I have felt grumpy, starving, headachy, happy, sad (for no reason, just getting teary eyed) lol, its great! I know that it is going to be all worth it.
Stay strong!

Anyhow, Good Luck With The Shake, Add Some Different Extracts...
I Like Mint To The Chocolate, Raspberry & Pumpkin Spice To The Vanialla.

I Also Use More Water So Its Diluted & Its Adds To The Amount Of H20 We Need As Well.
