Hi everyone, I havent written in quite a while! I've been so busy with all the loose ends trying to get everything together to submit to insurance and yesterday I was blessed with the wonderful news of approval...(Great West) and also with a surgery date of August 5th! Alot sooner than I expected! So I will be starting the high protein diet my surgeon suggested on Monday. I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet for 10 days prior but the prices we will pay!! I've been peeping in every now and again and everyone is doing so great and such an inspiration! I hope to be more involved in the daily threads now that I know things will be moving in the right direction for me! Congrats on everyone that has made in to the long awaited "onederland" and for all the other accomplishments so many have made!!

Congrats on your approval. I just received word today that I was approved and they scheduled my surgery for July 22, 2008. I am excited and very very nervous. I am sure I am going to change my mind 1000 times before that date. I have to start my liquid phase on the 8th of July, not looking forward to that but just another journey or should I say hurdle to get over. My fear is how much pain will be associated with the surgery. The unknown is my worst enemy. I will be returning to my home by myself as my husband works out of town, so I am hoping that it won't be to bad that I can't take care of myself. I am also very fearful of dumping syndrome. As you can tell I worry about things long before they even happen or not happen. If anyone has any words of wisdoms of what I should have at my home to help when I come home it would be greatly appreciated.
