Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

If you have a ulcer before surgery they will make sure its completey healed before they will perform it. Its usually antibotics they treat it with. I was reading your post last night and the area you were referring to sounded to me like your tummy. I have no idea about the Gastritis. I will also say this......... I at one time had severe tummy pains myself. They would come and go. They could never find nothing wrong. Upon doing a ultrasound they found I had a fatty liver and that was causing the problem. Since surgery they stated my liver is back to normal. I have had no pains like I used to.

If you are having bypass surgery, then it's necessary that your stomach is healthy. You will most likely get a scope to confirm this, be treated if there's something to treat, then given the go sign.
If you have gastritis, that means the surface of the stomach is irritated and weakend, so it may 1) take time to heal the surgical scars and 2) result in an ulcer.
Keep in mind this is an elective surgery (vs surgery done in an emergency) so being in the best possible physical condition (if you are being treated for co-morbidities, then they are under good control) for surgery is a must.

Thank you! This is all a bit of shock to me, as I just recently decided to get a consultation for the surgery. I have never had any other problems, no surgeries. So finding this out today was a bit of surprise. Though I am happy it is treatable.

I found out that i had gastritis after being scoped for surgery i just had to take prilosec and wait 6 to 8 weeks for it to heal and i was scoped again and it was healed so it's not a big problem you can still have surgery
