Default Preop Diet

I've only managed day one of my liquid preop diet. Has anyone ever starved to death before surgery? I've got 12 more to go- the day of surgery doesn't count. How did you guys go through this part?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

(((((HUGS))))) Hang in there.
No one has starved with this. The first 3-4 days are the hardest, but once you get through that, it will get easier and easier, and you'll be breezing through it by the end of the first week.
Remember, this is to make your liver smaller so it won't get in the surgeon's way, which will make the surgery itself easier, and also have you get used to the post op diet that you need to follow until you get back up to regular food.

Good luck, the days will have flown by when your date arrives.

You can do it. I remember I thought I wouldn't make it. It does get easier after the first few days.

They say the first couple of days are the hardest. I do hope it gets much easier for you.

A few of us did medifast which is only 400 calories a day for 6-8 weeks and none of us starved. We did, however, lose a ton pre-op and got a jump start on the weight loss!

I started my 8 day liquid diet on June 17th and after 2 days thought I was going to go out of my mind! my body was in shock! By the 4th day though, somehow my body said "hey, this is a good thing and I will get through this". Looking back now 1 week post op I am so glad I did it because I personally think it gets your body ready for the big change that's coming. Keep lots of sugar free pops and sugar free jello on hand. You will make it!
