well i saw the die. and surgeon on the 16 of june. last post was unde my profile so now ive gradiated to this forum. lol, my surgeon had told me to try to lose 20-40 lbs. in the next 4-6 months before surgery. i started after the visit on the 16 of june. hadnt seen the nut dr. yet, but i did see the pt this week on the 8th , gave me some things to do and said i passed all what she was looking for , she said next time i see her will be after surgery. the sent me a result of labs done on the 16 and said i was H pylori negative ( whatever that means , anyone know what that is? ) ive pretty much stuck on my diet , turkry bacon for breakfast, a banana , lunch is like baby spinach, baby carrots, 2-4 oz. of turkey , chicken , or fish and supper about the same with maybe a half of a red tater without skin, and when i add bread it is a half of a whole wheat tortilla , but sometimes i dont even add it, plus ive been adding blueberries, strawberries, mango, apple ( some kind of fruit) also been drinking 4 bottles or more and 3 a couple days jus to get use to it and 1 flintstones a day too. my blood pressure was already lower at my appointment on the 8th, it was 115/80 , ive been calorie counting for a month, i also bought me a magic bullet and some slimfast and tried a few protin shakes which are ok, with some fresh fruit. my calorie counting has been around 1200 a day with a few days near 1500 and more than a few nearer 1000, last couple days have been 800-900, i was pretty hungry at first but ive seem to found a pattern to go by, and i fill up on the baby spinach and carrots alot. anyway i didnt get weighed on the 8th so tomorrow i will get weighed the 1st time sine my 1st vist a month ago, i feel like ive lost some but tomorrow ill see. thanks for the support !

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Keep up the good work. H-pylori is a bacteria that causes ulcers and you need to take a combination of antibiotics and prevacid or what ever that praticular Dr. chooses. Its great you don't have it.

Sounds like you're doing good, congratulations.

H.pyplori, Helicobacter pylori (because it has a couple of *tails* growing out of it that rotates like a helicopter when moving around) is a bacteria that causes gastric ulcers. If you test positive for it, you have take antibiotics for a week or so to get rid of it, as you don't want ulcers after surgery.

Your on your way! Congrats. Im gonna throw in a suggestion to you on your diet your following. When we have this surgery we are told protein protein protein. I do try to get mine from the foods I eat instead of supplements. This is my choice and the supplements are great. So eat your meat first then move around your plate to the rest of your food. Its somthing you will have to do when you do have this done and if you start trying it now mabye it will help later. Just a suggestion.

My hubby still has to look at my plate now and say .....honey..... I know you love your veggies but eat that meat first. LOL. Hes right.

WOW, it sounds like you are doing GREAT...you are getting there! Im really excited for you.
Have you tried any of the protein shakes? They really do help with the hunger. Also, I drank one of the Atkins shakes everyday and it wasnt too bad. Good Luck to you, you are doing a fantastic job!

well, i jus got back frrom the follow up , questions and more questions, and my next appointment is the 18th of aug. dr. talked about my family etc, i guess trying to figure out if my fatness is along the family lines etc,, there not cause im the only fat one in the family mostly i told him cause i jus didnt care. ive told myself for 30 years if i was still fat at 50 i would do something about and im trying, and the dr. agrees,, tells me see you next month and keep doing what you been doing cause i LOST 25 lbs. in 28 days! he even mention if i can keep it up maybe i can get thru it without surgery, i know the surgery is a tool, maybe i can finally use my mind control to use as a tool over losing weight! thanks all !
