Talking Pre op weight loss advice wanted!

I am well on my way to the loosing side but I have a personal goal to be 290 on the day of my next office visit (9/1) I have 6.25 lbs to loose and I am walking 2 miles a day. I know I can increase the exercise but I cant really cut the food because I only eat 1200 cal a day now. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can try?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Jessica, congratulations on your weightloss so far. You are doing great!!
Do you go to a gym? Or do you swim and is there a pool close by? These are a couple of things you could try in increasing your exercise.
Also for diet, 1200cals is standard, but on occasions, we(drs) do prescribe 1000 cal diets for weightloss. The American Diabetes Association reccomends 1000-1200 cal diets for weightloss.

All in all, though, you are doing well, so I wouldn't fret if you can't make it down to 290, so long as you can lose another few lbs. Do your best, let your body decide, and take everything in stride.

Well for me i was useing ATKINS to loose my pre op required weight loss.
I was useing 2 protein shakes EAS carb control Advant Edge shakes in the ready made for 1 meal and eating induction only atkins foods.
THIS got me down my required 25 pre op pounds. MY surgeno does not book surgery till this is down!
PERHAPS do some shakes...and many surgeons put folks on OPTIFAST meal replacment shakes! THESE are great habits that if you set fourth now will help you post op.
hugzzzzzzzzzz, its a frustrating time...we all know that if we could loose weight we wouldnt need the surgery! BUT i believe there are many health benefits from looseing a drop pre op and reduceing complications are one!

Best of luck. I wasn't the best example of this, but I do know that the South Beach diet did help me before I considered wls. I would try what Lisa recommends. IF you can handle the shakes, it would be a great way to boost it.
