| Newbie | I have done all testing, seen doctors that was required. I even attended two diffferent programs- Succeed-which was a class that prepare you for the Gastric Bypass Surgery by teaching you about you eating habits, Before and after surgery, what and when to eat, the surgery in great detail, we tried the different foods for each stage of the surgery to find out what we will like and not like(this was a great experiences, YA RIGHT!!) Had to exercise 3 days a week, and attend classes one day a week for 12 weeks. I also just completed a Medically Supervised Program with my Doctor and Nutritionist for 6 months, which I had to get use to, but I lose some weight, but gain some of it back. My Doctor and Surgeon office have sent my paper to BCBST for Approval. So what I am waiting for is a APPROVAL from them soon. Because I am ready to start my new life. I am going to bug them until I get approved for my surgery. I am planning to have my surgery in October. What can I do to get a fast approval? Help !!!!! ![]() |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Since I work for an insurance company I can offer you a couple of suggestions. I would call them on a weekly basis and ask them the status of your preauthorization. Ask them specifically if there is anything in the records sent that needs to be added to or if they will need add'l documentation. Approval our our site usually takes 4-6 weeks. Good luck with your surgery...it will be here before you know it! |
