Question H. Pylori

Can anyone tell me why you would have to wait for surgery if you are H Pylori positive? I am already scheduled for surgery, but my DH is having to wait because of this. Is it because of the possibility of ulcers? We are both having sleeve gastrectomies. Any ideas?

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria known to cause ulcers. The finger also is pointing that it is a cuplrit that possibly can cause stomach cancer as well. You don't want to raise the posibility of ulcer post op, especially along the staple lines. It can be easily treated with a course of antibiotics.

Doc is right. They must have did lab work or give a stool sample that was positive for it. A round of antibotics should clear it up and give him the go ahead.

Thanks for your input. My DH just finished his 14 days of treatment. Now we are waiting for 30 days to get his breath test. Again thanks for all of your support!!
