Default The psych eval hold-up

I'm so frustrated right now!

I had my psych eval March 25th.
I had my surgeon consult and visit with the Nut on April 7th.
All I'm waiting on now is my psych eval. I called the office today to find out that the receptionist was sitting on my MMPI test results and on MONDAY they're sending it off for dictation and then they'll have it to my surgeon's office on Wednesday of next week!!!

This is probably the LONGEST part of the whole dang process - getting the last bits in before sending off for insurance approval. I'm starting to have thoughts that they might deny me (they better not - I hit all of their qualifications).

I'm having such a hard time staying patient and waiting. I'm sure most people can empathize with this. I need encouragement The waiting really is the hardest part!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

it is so hard when people don't have the same sense of urgency that we have regarding our situation. i certainly do remember the frustration and disappointment when someone was dragging their feet on some process.

do something fun this weekend to get your mind off of this ~ enjoy yourself ~ buy some pretty spring plants for your house ~ do something that makes you happy!!

Just hang in there. It may not seem like it but it will pass. You will not regret all the hoops that you have to jump through to get this life changing surgery. Once you have the surgery it seems to just fly by along with the sizes you will be going past. Good luck with your journey.

Sorry to hear your still having to wait. Im glad you made that call. If not it would probally take another month to get done. Make sure you follow up next week along about Wends to make sure they got it to dictation because he will have to read it then... sign off...if there are no mistakes. Keeping on top of it is what your doing and its a good thing.

Once you get approved things will fly then. Then we will tell you to hold on to your pants. LOL. Sending out wishes to make them hurry up!

Hang in there, Anna! Once it gets to Drew's office and Judy submits it, things are gonna happen at a good fast clip that'll have your head spinning! Keep the pressure on the weak links. Sometimes these folks need encouragement to know that someone knows they're doing something.

I can tell you that I thought this process was so long but when it was all said and done time really flew by. My surgery was 3 months ago and I have never felt better. I would do it all over again and actually wish I had done this sooner. The time goes fast so be patient and know that it will work out in the long run. I hope you hear from them soon!

Time really does fly by. I can't believe it's April already and it's been a week and a half since my initial surgeon consult! I thought that the meeting would never happen!

I plan to call Wednesday to make sure it got back. I like both the receptionists they have but they can be a little.. not-so customer service oriented. LOL.

At least now my mom will be happy because a June date is more likely and she wants to come down and "take care" of me Awwwww

It would probably be a good idea to educate mom a bit on what to expect from you when she comes. You will have unique post-op considerations. Getting her used to what will be your new "normal" at that point will help both of you have a good experience.

That is very very good advise, CT. She's much easier to educate because some people from our church back home have had the procedure, too and she's very excited for me. She's no where near as stubborn as my husband!
