Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

My surgery date is Jan 22
A little nervous, but more for the fact that DH is deploying a few days before my surgery. I'd rather not do this alone, but apparently I have to.
Hey guys and gals!!! I finally got my date!! My surgery will be Jan. 30th!~! Im soooo excited! Sorry I haven't been posting much, I am out of town, visiting the family for the holidays. Hope you all have a GREAT Christmas, or which ever holiday you celebrate.
Talk to y'all later!
Hi, my name is Shondi Mulkey and I just found this group while googling for some info on the surgery. I am scheduled for January 8th but am starting to get cold feet about the whole thing. I am the mother of 4 including 4 year old triplets. I just keep hyperfocusing on the idea that something could go wrong and I would leave my four darlings without a mother. Did everyone go through this sort of thing pre-op or am I just being neurotic?
I am also so worried about how long I will be down & out post-op as it will be really difficult for my husband to run the kids and the house for that long. I also own my own business so I don't want to be out of pocket too long.
Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
Shondi, welcome to the board, thank you for joinng us.
Yes, this is roller coaster emotion time for you. Just go through as much threads and posts as you can, you'll see tons of people going through the same emotions as you are.
((((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

I too was a bit "freaked" about the "what if's"....but, really got down and dirty about what life would be like without the surgery....soooo glad I did it...just look at my before's and see how unhappy I look. I'm now 124#'s down....and am soooo thankful I chose this!!! I have a 3yr old....and really started this journey for her....but it's for me! wouldn't have done it just for me before surgery....the martyr I was!!! LOL.... Here's my before & after...up to a couple of weeks ago!
It's YOUR journey....this will change your life! BUT...YOU have to make the right decision for YOU!!!!
