Talking I met w/my nutritionist yesterday!

Love Love Love LOVE her! She is so totallly awesome. So inspiring and so wonderful. She called me sweetie and honey and told me how hot I was going to look and everything. She told DH that he needs to be prepared for me to be spending money on cute clothes, LOL. She also explained that b/c of my PCOS that surgery is probably the best option for me b/c of how difficult it is to lose and to gain the weight. She did this whole body composition thing that showed how much water weight I carry, bone density, fat content, et al.

My goal is 120 grams of protein/day, and she put me on ON WHEY shake. My vitamin regimen is Usanimals (kid chewables) 4x/day, Body Rox Active Calcium Chewable ::shudder:: a chewable calcium for the first 5 weeks. After five weeks I'll be on Body Rox MV 3 tabs/day at which point I can switch to a non chewable calcium or I can stick with the chewing.

She told me to try and practice chewing my food to pureed consistenty since she hears from a lot of her patients that that's one of the things that totally skeeves her patients out. The consistency of pureed meat in your mouth. Can't wait..

Anyway it's becoming all the more real now and I can't believe that it's almost here. I start the liquid phase to shrink my liver 10 days prior to my surgery. DH is taking me to my favorite restaurant tonight. I'm SO READY to get this show on the road!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

2 questions. What is PCOS and what did you have for dinner at your fav. restaurant? Inquring chefs need to know, lol.
Sounds like you are all set. I wish you all the success in the world. It has been wonderful for me.

PCOS=PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome.
Among other things, this causes obesity and infertility.

Kat - my favorite restaraunt is Carrabas. It's an Italian joint. I'm pretty sure it's a chain, but by far the BEST chain I've ever eaten at. I'm usually not a fain of chain restaraunts. It was tasty. I'm now on my pre-op diet!
