What do you wish you had taken but didn't, what did you take that was your "must have?" TIA!
I'm officially only 8 days out, but I'm still waiting to hear from the insurance. I hate this!

Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery. Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.
I know here in NY hospitols do not allow the use of cell phones. I had mine with me and got in trouble for useing it i would suggest a calling card so that you can call anywhere from your hospitol phone and be in touch with who you want. CHECK your hospitols rules about the cell phone.
ALSO, my hospitol would not allow me in my own pajamas either....because of all the hook ups i had and shots needed they wanted me in their gowns for easy access for everything. I did have my robe for the walks. BEST to check with the hospitol your staying with or your surgeon.
I would also suggest makeup.....i liked to make the best of how i looked going so many days in the hosptiol with no shower was scary enough so for me i enjoyed trying to look well with lip and cheek color.
I had surgery in am on a wednesday and wasnt released until saturday mid day so going that long with no shower was awful. BUT baby powders and body splashes worked fabulous for me. I was overly warm in the hospitol it was the first heat wave of the season and the hospitol AC wasnt really on in the room...so i was hot...some was probably hot flashes from pain pump meds but who knows. SO i liked to be sure i wasnt with any BO...so having my favorite body splash helped.
I did have a nice new fresh pair of pajamas waiting for me at home that i treated myself too so i would feal good when i came home....
as you can see everyone experiences different so best to see what the rules might be in your area......i think the cell phone thing was BS when half those employess have one in there purse and there not in the off position but who was i got argue! My surgeon keeps his bariatric patients right in front of the nurses desk because of all the care they require and all the times he calls in to check on them. THIS way its easy so sneaking the phone, i got caught! OH well. I also had my own room, in our hosptiols they dont put anyone in with a bariatric patient as the other person would not get any rest!
HOPE that helps just the info from my journey but for me chapstick was needed and alot. I wasnt on liquids till 2 days later after my leak test...and at that it was only a shot glass of diluted applejuice so my lips were needy. AGAIN every surgeon is different some people leave the hospitol on puree foods....
I took Make-up too..... And put it on the first chance I got...I always feel better with make-up.... I like my "leaving pictures"....even though I'm fat - I felt pretty......Love my flowers too!!! My mom & Daughter....and me of course....
